Nice to hear about the success in the Netherlands! I wish that would be the same for all the countries in the World! ;-)

HEEEEY!!! This is veeeeery good news AGAIN!
Very unusual for roxette, even more because it are up-tempo songs! I’m really surprised TPH is doing so well, but i don’t think it will get very much higher, or EMI must have other promotion-plans.

A bit more promotion (ON has not been played anywhere), not only showing the commercials for TPH on SBS6/V8, but also on RTL4,5 and NL1,2,3 and a top 10 position is possible!

And after going down last week, they are both going up this week!!!!
TBH from 41 to 37 and TPH from 37 to 34!!

Oh my good! Good Positions???? Hey guys we are still talking about ROXETTE! Pos 28 and 35 good? It’s disaster. Pos 1-10 are good positions. Or after being in Top 20 for 10 weks, No. 30 is a good position. But that’s THE BIGGEST FLOP(S) in Roxette history!
At least Roxette’s albums always HIT the charts in Top 3! But I was always saying: “Nobody needs compilations. Roxette won’t gain lot of new fans anymore. Instead of this they should try to serve some good material for the huge fan-crowd they have. And to release 2 compilations (again) smells like taking out every cent of Roxette. The new (released) songs are good, nobody needs TBH and TPH. Of course: Hardcore Roxette fans by everything where ROXETTE is on, but most will think: Why buying all the (great) songs twice or the 3rd time????
mdekort said on May 11, 2003 19:23:
Firstly, we’re talking about Holland, a country which produces a lot of Roxette stuff (almost for the most of Europe), but which plays Roxette hardly ever, except for a few radiostations!!!
So when there are 2 (!!!!) Rox albums in the list of 100 best sold albums (even in the best 40), it is good for Holland!
Second, I talked last to a salesman from a musicstore. He told me, he liked both the albums very much and was playing them at home AND in the musicstore!!!!
OK, I like a completely new album better, but I settle with a compilation, if there’s no (great) chance for a completely new album.
BTW the compilation albums always sell better, because if you’re not a fan, and you do like the music, you buy a compilation album, and you’ll have all the greatest and well known hits!

mdekort:
You are 100% right about the explanation of the situation in the NL: 2 albums in the top 40 is a luxury for Roxette in the Netherlands.
It shows that there are more people who like Roxette than I thought.
BTW: I heard Roxette on the radio this morning, always a pleasant surprise.
mdekort said on May 14, 2003 17:56:
OK this week, both the albums went down. TPH to 40 and TBH to 43!

jep, ON flopped, but hey, that’s no surprise because the clip hasn’t been shown on any tv channel.
2 albums in the top 40!!! that’s really fantastic. This has proven that promotion is very important and that EMI has to invest to get so much more back...
