I lately bought DVD ALL VIDEOS... and what can I say? I’m a bit disappointed that the quality of videos is not so good... But I like it. Actually many videos I saw first time (!) (I mean nearly all). In my opinion the best videos were made for You Don’t Understand Me (the climate is very nice!), The Centre Of The Heart (Marie and Per look very good and younger), Fireworks (ohhhhhhh........ I love this song: girls, cabrio, motorcycles, sunny day – I love this episode!!!). First time I heard Fingertips’93 but it’s fine and the moves of everyone in this video are very funny and really suit for this song (look guy with giutar – he’s great!)
I’m disappointed that song June Afternoon that I really really like has poor video! (I imagined it differently and I like better my imagination than this video :( ). Stars??? It’s boring and Marie look very old! In Neverending Love: Ekhmmm.... Per looks like MacGyver :DDDDDDDDDDDD (I loved this series :D )

I can’t stop laughing when I watch Really Roxette and desperated and shocked rox-fan. You know: that girl who say: „ Oh my God this is Per! I love him! I love Marie and Per, I love them. Roxette is the best band all over the world! [and cry]” Sorry maybe I don’t understand this...

In one of the documentaries, don’t know which one you can see a german girl saying somethin in english to the reporter. She has long dark hair. Her english is soooooooo bad. I never really realised until that point that “german english” sounds soo stupid!! And she is so serious in what she is saying there: something like: they are not a teenager band..she looks as if the pope died or something...soo funny.. ((-:

The German chic is on the Återtåget documentary thing.. if memory serves (And usually it doesn’t ;)) I think it’s in the part when they are doing “Kung Av Sand” can’t remember what part of Sveeden they were in though!!

She is on the floor during the rehersals, crying her ass off and PG seems to be ignoring her. LOL!

Mimi, I, too, have that DVD and I love the whole thing!! My fave video of their’s is DEFINITELY “June Afternoon”!! Why don’t you like it?? It’s perfect and fits the song to a T. As a matter of fact, it’s basically the most perfect powerpop video ever made on a large budget. The images are totally powerpop (Beatle-ish band playing with Per, day-glo colours in that house, Per and Marie dressed so 60s and like on Hulaballoo and the Avengers, that green shag carpet, boy with balloon, guy in bathtub filled with beans just like the movie “Tommy”, the clown, the naked day-glo girl, the picnic people, the Andy Warhol-ish painter, EVERYTHING.) That video is overloaded with delightful details, I guess you don’t “get” powerpop then; it’s like my DREAM video!!

Other faves are, yes, “Fingertips ’93”, another cool powerpop video, very mod and black + white with those circles and Marie looking like a goddess from the 60s, and the scene is like Hiulaballoo. KILLER song as well, among my Rox faves, shoulda been a bigger hit. And yeah, that BASS player, he has great energy and goofy faces, love that!!

On to “Real Sugar”, powerpop again and very funny, like a Letterman spoof, but with muppets, always a cool powerpop trademark, plus the song is catchy as hell.

Now for “Stars”, a daft video that works!! It’s funny, original and touching even, plus those ducks crack me up!! I don’t mind how Marie looks in this, it fits the video’s storyline.

Oh, and “I Wish I Could Fly” is a downright erotic, sensual video, as are the other 2 HAND videos. The CBB clips are fun as well, “Vulnerable” is sweet, love that kitty.

The early Pearls Of Passion videos show that Roxette were influenced by Eurythmics, and I hate to say it, Animotion!! The music and their image approach, their male w/guitar/female co-lead is directly taken from Animotion it seems, same setup. Eurythmics too.

The 2 docs are well-done, and it’s cool having all these videos in one place.

Again, Mimi, sorry you’re disppointed with “June Afternoon”, as that could be my fave video EVER made by ANYBODY....
