The Singles that never were?

I was wondering which album tracks everyone think should have been singles?

I think:- Things Will Never Be The Same
Crush On You
What’s She Like?
Lies / I’m Sorry (Double A Side)
& Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla.......

crush on you, fool and mw ml ml .... that’s final!

paint(in place of chances)
the rain(in place of fingertips)
crush on you(in place of anyone)

Waiting for the rain.
I don’t want to get hurt also should have been released comercially (not just promo as I think it was - in Brazil isn’t it ?).

from one heart to another - instead of soul deep

give you up - instead of chances

perfect day - instead of church of your heart

the rain - instead of queen of rain

what’s she like - instead of run to you

double a-side quiero ser como tu / i don’t wanna to get hurt - instead of un dia sin ti (promoting Balados en espanol and re-animating Don’t Bore Us)

crush on you - instead of anyone (obviously)

it will take a long long time - extra single from HAVE A NICE DAY (following the feature in the movie RUNAWAY BRIDE)

looking for jane - 4th single from ROOM SERVICE

make my head go pop - 5th single from ROOM SERVICE

breathe - instead of a thing about you

little miss sorrow - instead of opportunity nox (obvious... better lyrics, more alternative, more complicated, easier to sing along)

I would have to go with (the ones I’ve heard so far):

POP:
Secrets That She Keeps
Surrender

LS:
Paint
Cry
(I Could Never) Give You Up
Shadow Of A Doubt

J:
Watercolours In The Rain
(Do You Get) Excited? (even though it was planned)

T:
The Rain
Cinnamon Street
Silver Blue
Come Back (Before You Leave)

C!B!B!:
Harleys & Indians (Riders In The Sky)
What’s She Like?
Lies
I’m Sorry

R:
The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye

DBU-GTTC!
I Don’t Want To Get Hurt

HAND:
Crush On You
Waiting For The Rain
It Will Take A Long Long Time
7Twenty7
I Was So Lucky
Cooper

RS:
Jefferson
Make My Head Go Pop
Try (Just A Little Bit Harder)
It Takes You No Time To Get Here
My World, My Love, My Life

TBH:
Breathe

The 5 th joyride single DUGE
The 2 rd Tourism single The Rain instead of fingertips
The 5 th CBB single Im sorry instead of vunerable
* The 5 th HAND single COY
* The 4 th RS single Fool
The 2 nd TBH single BREATHE

*- would of sold more albums if had more single releases like albums before!

I think “Fool” And “Looking For Jane” could have been Room Service singles.

Pearls Of Passion:
-Surrender (5th single release)
-From One Heart To Another (6th single release)

Look Sharp!:
-Sleeping Single or Half A Woman, Half A Shadow (as the 6th single if there was room to squeeze them in!)

Joyride:
-(Do You Get) Excited? (double A side with ’Church Of Your Heart’ or release it as the 6th single if they pushed back ’Tourism’)
-Things Will Never Be The Same (7th single...again, ’Tourism’ issue) (the whole ’Joyride’ project was running so well that they could have easily squeezed out a few more hits)

Tourism:
-The Rain (if it didn’t interfere with the release of ’Almost Unreal’)

Crash! Boom! Bang!:
-Love Is All (Shine Your Light On Me) (double A side with ’Vulnerable’)

Don’t Bore Us:
-I Don’t Want To Get Hurt (maybe tie in the Spanish version with the release of ’Baladas En Espanol’)

Have A Nice Day:
-Crush On You (as the 5th single)
-It Will Take A Long Long Time (’Modern Rock Version’ as the 6th single)
-Pay The Price (as the 7th single OR double A-side the above 2 as the 6th single release)

Room Service:
-Looking For Jane (as the 4th single)
-My World, My Love, My Life (as the 5th single)
-Fool (as the 6th single)

The Ballad Hits:
-Breathe (as the 2nd single/future single for the fall of 2003)

The Pop Hits:
-Little Miss Sorrow (as the 2nd single for the summer of 2003!)

@ boykie19

If Chances was replaced with Paint, Roxette would have made even less impact on the Continent.. You got to admit: Chances IS a little cathier. :)

The Rain instead of Fingertips!

The Rain is sooooooooo good!
