"Marie sueing for money" - Apologies...

Like a month ago, when Marie sued Expressen I actually wrote some stuff in the article which while re-reading today I found that it was too direct, misleading and definitely a bit unrespectful given the circumstances. I do not wish to change the point of view, just the tone and the way of saying it, which will make clear what my point of view is...

This is what I meant to say more or less :)
**
IF I [meaning me being Expressen, and NOT me as who I am now] were Expressen I would pay 500.000 SEK BUT I would officially convey Marie to pay another 500.000 SEK donation to the same Cancer fund. To see how willing she is to donate money freely...
[Explanation: is that understood? Not that I am in favour of Expressen, but to see how Expressen could fight back. I like taking various points of view]
Actually....how much would Marie donate IF Expressen doesn’t pay? Would she pay even if Expressen gets its way?
[Explanation: this one is quite clear... and this is where I turned a bit too strong on Marie... would she even if Expressen doesn’t?]
Is it worth going into sueing when actually an apology was enough? In a way (and this is general talk....this proves that money always talks first and Expressen might only respond to money]. But nevertheless, isn’t a public apology enough? Does this lead anywhere other than confusing everybody?
[Explanation: this is something that has always been around, and not directed to Marie only...I never understood why money is equal to an apology... why should money substitute the life of a child if it has been runover and killed by a drunkard? get my point?]
Of course fans approve. But others may think that this is a very selfish attitude leaded by Leif. Maybe it is because I haven’t had the opportunity of demanding such an amount... however... and as i have said beforehand; does this donation depend entirely on Expressens pocket or would the Cancer Foundation still get a 500.000 SEK donation from Marie IF Expressen doesn’t pay?
[Explanation: this is more or less what was said two paragraphs ago. Would Marie makes sure this Cancer fund gets the 500.000 SEK anyways? Even if Expressen doesn’t pay?]

who knows and who cares if she donates or not.
it’s not an obligation to donate money...
let’s say you are in a good economical position, you are walking down the street and find a wallet full of money... there’s no one around... it has no ID’s... no names... no clue that could relate it to the owner. So you have 0% of chances to give it back to the owner. (or just some money thrown there.... works the same for the example)
Well, you pick it up it’s full of money.... you walk a few meters while it is still in your hand, and then you see an orphanate and in the door the mail for donations... wouldn’t you just put the wallet there and leave?
And if you don’t, will that make you any different?
nah, you had the chance to get some “easy” money and you had the chance to put it in hands that deserved it better.
Your own wallet, the one that you filled with your hard work is still there.... we don’t know about its past....
In the situation of Marie and Expressen happens something like that, that money is “easy” money for Marie.... and
1. saying she will donate is a little more extra preasure to the judges... little but adds something.
2. She got this money ’cos of her illness, so donating it to a cancer fundation is like taking that money where it belongs, ’cos Expressen made money out of her illness.... so it’s like getting the money back “where it belongs”.
3. And it’s a way to shut up Expressen for a while so they don’t tell anymore lies..... at least for a while.
hehe, i know the example is not perfect... but it’s around the concept.
