@animalkingdom: Congratulations! You’re coming in and I’m going out... after 8 years (B.Sc + M.A. + Ph.D. and I’m finally done!)! Enjoy it, it’ll be the time of your life!

It is correct to blame part of of its lack of success was the lack of promotion BUT IT IS MISSING THE CORE INGREDIENT...MARIE’S SWEET VOICE
Checkin In
Checkin Out

With some promotion, ON could have been more succesful.
I don’t want to sound negative, but I think TPH won’t be such a cucces as TBH, since TPH did not get any promotion.
EMI/Capitol: Shame on you!

Ummm i don’t think Per and Marie are worried with it ... NOX is however a very cool litle pop song (as Per usually says) no matter if it gets high on the charts!

Considering no promo was really done for the album/single i really don’t think you could have asked for more. Maybe if EMI helped out a bit more?
@carmie - ON was never released in australia and won’t be :( but TPH is listed for release on april 21.

That’s not right!
ON is still in the swedish charts, in its 4th weeks it drops from #35 to #50 but it’s still in the Top 60 ;-)

Oh well, but Nox is perfect as it is!! Sure, it sounds more like something off TWATG than a Roxette record, but that’s fine by me!! Nothing against Marie at all, but those Per-ish powerpop songs are the best, more than Marie-sung ballads, which are sweet, but nothing beats a solid rocking powerpop tune, and Nox has the goods. Whether EMI/Capitol did promo or not, the song is a hit, as all songs of that caliber should be. All the best powerpop songs sound like radio hits, whether they become actual HITS are not.

@Damineh: McMaster (B.Sc) and Waterloo (M.A. and Ph.D.)... and you’re at UVic, right? I’m doing a post-doc at UBC in the fall... very, very excited about that!
