By Roxette’s standards both Opportunity Nox & The Pop Hits seem to flop big time! I mean all their albums since LS have charted in the top-10 in Germany and all the first singles at least in the top-40.
Hate to say it but this is the floppest Roxette release ever!
Sweden is such a slow market so it really doesn’t matter if ON peaks at no. 11 or no. 59.

Real Sugar and now Opportunity Nox, which are great songs have only charted for one week in Germany.
A thing about you was in comparison to this two songs good in the German charts.
But I don‘t understand it, Real Sugar is so great Rox song and now Opportunity Nox. I don‘t understand the music world.
Cheers Christian
ROXETTE forever.

its weird Real sugar is such a roxette song... an oppurtunity nox is so catchy!?!??! its the lack of promotion i guess....
roxtexanet said on March 28, 2003 23:15:
It seems to be that the more the fans love it, the less the general public likes it (and vice versa)... “Real Sugar,” “Opportunity Nox” on one hand and “The Centre of the Heart” and “A Thing About You” on the other...

Bad single choices.
They should have released LMS and BBBBB instead of ON and ATAY.
ON is not the kind of song people want to give money for.
Gellner said on March 31, 2003 11:09:
I think there was not much of a single choice with only 2 or 3 new tracks, - anyway, people nowadays hardly buy anything and they do definately not pay for GH albums if there’s new albums out every 3rd month.... ON is great - but not too strong and the single has hardly any airplay - also due to the war - radio stations don’t list “Bla Bla Bla - happy mood” songs....
Anyway here’s the latest frustrating results:
Sales midweeks (sat.):
39 ( 27) 6,04% THE POP HITS LTD ROXETTE
135 (132) 0,44% OPPORTUNITY NOX ROXETTE
official german airplay charts wk 13:
78 (71) - 81 plays OPPORTUNITY NOX ROXETTE
Airplay peak was #63 - which is really far below any other Roxette single I can remember....

Pop Hits didn’t enter the Finnish Top 40 sales chart on the first week although there has been some TV advertising for the album. The same happened to Ballad Hits: on the second week it did make it in at no. 22, though, and peaking at 15. This is, however, VERY unusual for Roxette in Finland. Let’s hope they never release another greatest hits album!
