TDR: Official Site? Sign the petition!
Markuz said on March 23, 2003 16:51:
Why don’t we start a petition? We can make TDR the official site!
It worked with Marie’s tour, then the RS tour, and finally Judith’s guestbook for Marie was also a great idea!
Since roxette.se sucks big time and roxette.nl is always down or “being redesigned” (yeah right), I think TDR should be the official rosette site because it is updated almost every day.
Since Per is very lazy to answer questions, we could have someone from the band in the Q&A section, like Jorge did with Staffan Ofwerman in his site. What about Vicky?
So, what do you think???

There’s got to be something behind all this...Since Markuz is starting it! And why’s it so important to separate the official from the unofficial?!
Markuz said on March 23, 2003 17:47:
@Steven: It’s just an idea. I just wanted to share it with everyone. Shoot me for thinking.
@animalkingdom: yeah, I want to be rich and famous. Oh, and a couple of free drinks...

I think we do need a better official site. Have you checked out:
It is crap... I am willing to devote some of my time to helping the UK website update now I have access to a PC!!

@Markuz:
Don’t misunderstand me... it’s a good idea, but only if Visa chooses that route.
It’s not really fair for us to make that decision for him.

Isnt this page already official? I could sware that I saw this adress on TBH booklet...
the_phantom_roxer said on March 23, 2003 21:02:
yeah it is... maybe cuz then ppl come here not rox.se.... i think they know how bad it is...
japeke said on March 23, 2003 22:46:
1. If this will be a official site, there is news which you can’t post here anymore.. think about the marie-carola story on roxette.nl
2. this site is also in the booklets of TPH and TBH... so why does it need the ’official’ status if it does get the same attention as the ’officials’???
Markuz said on March 24, 2003 01:10:
@Japeke: I didn’t know that the URL was in the booklet of TBH & TPH. That changes everything.
marcusvandeursen said on March 24, 2003 19:16:
depends on Visa’s opinion I’d say... perhaps its even a got thing TDR is not completely official... just look at the Fanclub... completely dependent on EMI, doing everything it seems only to keep their official status instead of being for the fans.
japeke said on March 24, 2003 20:06:
You could also look to the FC with a positive view...... Just try that for some time... just like me, it worked, i really like them now.
marcusvandeursen said on March 25, 2003 00:12:
@japeke... they do good things at the fc, I agree. Only I still consider them being too much dependent on EMI fearing to be objective sometimes

@Jackie: the devil indeed hehehe BTW, you haven’t mailed me in ages! :o)
Jackie_Radiorox said on April 2, 2003 04:46:
Markuz, perhaps cos I don’t want to talk to you? That thought ever cross your mind?
LittleSpooky said on April 2, 2003 05:41:
Dang Markuz... what did you do??
Anyway, I think this site is WAAAY better than Roxette.nl because it is more up to date. As for the Official status? Up to the powers that be to decide.
Sascha said on April 2, 2003 07:09:
What annoys me is that the weblinks for Roxette in articles or video-airplay always go to roxette.se. That’s a shame! If there was at least a link to TDR on the frontpage...
tevensso (moderator) said on April 4, 2003 20:50:
I think it’s fine the way it is. When it gets “too official” they start telling you what you can print and not. .nl weren’t allowed to print anything about Marie backing out of the x-mas concerts for instance.
steven said on March 23, 2003 17:01:
Erm... Have you considered that Visa & Lars may not wish TDR to be associated with Roxette in an official capacity?
With thier network of reporters, the TDR team have worked consistantly to bring us an enjoyable site full of great news and all without any official accountability to EMI or Roxette’s managment.
I’m not certain I would want that type of hassle and would much prefer to do my ’own thing’ without being accountable.
Would be interesting to learn of Visa’s viewpoint on this.
