but, i’m trying to download a vid and it says it takes 7 hours!!!!
i mean, i really got a fast connection actually.

does it depend on the time of day or is that just usual?

Maybe that’s because you’re trying to download a huge video :-)))
The server usually has very fast access, at work I’m dowloading from it at an average of 500K/sec.

Videos are usually big. You’ve got the size of the audio and the video all rolled into one.

If the connection is 1 MB, I could download almost 900 Mb from Roxbytes in 2 hours (only Sundays...)

Roxeanne, the download speed may depend on your phone’s line quality or your ISP’s quality. (I suppose you’re on dial up)

If you can’t download at at least 5KB/s then your even have a bad phone line or a bad ISP (or an old modem :D)
