The song "Makin' love to you" sucks big time!

I hate to say it, but the lyrics of “Makin’ love to you” are the worst ever by Roxette!
It’s like an amateur 15-year-old wrote it, anyone agrees?
Is it already clear who wrote it? Hopefully it’s not Per, ’cos that would be a big dissapointment...
But the other new stuff is great, kickin’ ass!!!

maire is off key the entire song and has anyone noticed ITS A BALLAD not a pop rock song

Indeed, the songs are a bit dissapointing...
STUPID: We knew that one already, but listen, you hear a sort of scratching in it!!! Sounds real cool!
BETTER OF ON HER OWN: We knew that one already, not really pop/rock
MAKIN LOVE TO YOU: This surely isn’t pop/rock, sounds cheap IMHO
BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH: Well, not really pop/rock, but allright
LIL’ MISS SORROW: WOW! This one is cooool

I don’t think that it is Marie stuff...I guess Per wrote the song..
I am really curious who wrote what song but I think they are all by Per.

All the best

You have to remember that these songs are all leftovers, dont take them too seriously! For a leftover MLTY is very nice song from the 1st listen. Some people listen to songs differently, some listen to much to the lyrics, where as I listen to the melody, chords and music more.

You can say what you want, but I really love “makin love to you” !!!!!!!
per_mson said on March 21, 2003 23:12:
I really like it too and I don´t get how people can say Marie is singing off key?! The chorus is maybe not so “Roxetteish”, but it is not off key at least... ;)
tevensso (moderator) said on March 21, 2003 23:48:
Agree, it grows on you and she’s not at all off key. Not their best, but certainly not their worst.

This wouldn’t be a Roxette forum without having a fan hating or feeling disappointed with a Rox song!
Anyway ... those songs you claim not be so cool or not fit to this sort of pop uptempo album are in the EP are mere bonus so the intention behind them is not really to match necessarly with the the other 2 new ones and the rest of the hits on that compilation. You should try to see and interpretate things in a bit wider way ... we can not create stereotyped expectations about one record. I prefer to get the album and judge it myself rather than knowing what you think. Roxette fans these days (some of course are too dramatically and negativelly critical... and most of those time such attitude is a bit exagerated)

I am not too happy with MLTY... for me it is not the song you can hum on your way to work or whatever. but good it’s on the CD, otherwise we would be missing Marie...now the choice is more complete.
Just wanna say that it is a bit sad with Stupid...that the arrangements are so little that almost not noticeable. I think most of people who are disappointed with this song fell victim to the whole fuss about it... I mean, first Spun, then all of us waiting for this Marie contribution and so on. But even if quite similar to the original, I still love it, it has been my fave on TWATG ever since I bought the record.

Haven’t yet heard BUT
“Stupid” has NOTHING new...And all that waiting...:(
