Okay all these threads about travelling makes me want on holiday!! where are you are going for your hols this years??

Me:

Wales 1 week in September!
Sweden 1 week in December!

But I don’t think I can wait till December to return to Sweden, I wanna go now, may think of return trip in June, that would be good!!!

Hooo :) Gr8 thread!
Dreaming about holidays: I just love it! Esp. when it’s cold and snowing outside like today!
End of March I’m gonna travel to Munich/Germany, just for a few days! It’s gonna be a fantastic time though!
End of May I’m gonna go to Styria/Austria for a week.
July: first 10 days -> Italy, then 1 week Sweden.
October: 1 week Greece and some days in Rome
and maybe somedays in Stockholm in December, but we’ll see ...

Stockholm is fantastic in December, the people always seem so happy even if it is very cold.....

Tessin in April
Sweden in July

Of course only a week or ten days *lol*

Sweden: 29 june until 20 july

not bitchin‘of course but whats so special in Sweden?
peace

Dunno i havent been there nor i would ever go to live there...too cold for me

Sweden in July/August

BELGIUM BELGIUM BELGIUM BELGIUM !!!! :P:P:P:P :D

Sweden, without mentioning ROXETTE...

* It’s clean

* People are friendly

* Public transport is excellent

* People recycle more - hardly heard of where I am in the uk?

* You have to visit Sweden to really understand the true beauty that lies within it’s culture!

I’m not going anywhere(Same as every sodding year!).
Wish I could go somewhere FAR away... very remote... Just to get away from the word ’war’. People are walking around like zombies!
Every second sentence is... Oh spend all your money now, you won’t be able to use it when the war starts.

ARG!

Anyway... what was the question? ;)

oh yeah Sweden is off the hook! :)
but I was not impressed by the girls
there. Holland had the honeys! :)

What!
That means I have to stay at home!

I think the same about the girls, Sweet_stalker :D

really? arent swedish blonde chicks famous all over the world?

I didn’t like them especially... the blonde dutchies there in my university college in Sweden looked much better :D

So that’s where all the cute girls have gone...

Okay this I had to drag up.. a boring evening and this topic made me laugh!

So where did we all end up!!

I went to Wales in September as planned!!
Got 2 weeks in Spain!!
2 days in Sweden! of course for Mazarin!!

Cancelled Sweden for Dec as could not afford and booked Hamburg but then cancelled that as I got Alfie!!

So what about 2004?

Woo! I lied. ;) I DID go on holiday this year! I got my first passport. :D
I went to Sweden in July, to see Per concert in Halmstad. :) That was 4 days. *THANKS F & K*!!
September, I went to Norway, thanks to Mutley, we saw Per in Oslo. And both got a hug from him! ;)

I guess a couple days in London count to. :)

i hope i’ll be in sweden this summer, if i have the money!!! :-S

Ally: so the factors you mentioned satisfy you about a country?? You gotta come to Victoria then :). Victoria is very clean, very beautiful, not cold at all, people are very friendly and public transport is just excellent.

And especially to Denstandigaresan: Victoria is an island so people don’t ever talk about war or things like that. THey are tri-atheloning all the time, very much into sports. I loved it when I first moved here. Vancouver has gotten busy over the years, but Victoria is awesome. I invited you all to the beautiful city of Victoria. Come on over.

And to sweet_stalker: If you want blondes with nice bodies, Victoria is the place for you. I am a brunette so I am not talking about myself. When I first moved to Victoria, I didn’t know to whether look at guys or girls. Very athletic and in shape. Woof.

And as to my plans, I will go home (Vancouver) on the 20th since I have exams till 19th of December. School starts on the 2nd I assume so I will have 13 days to take a break from the world of school and this stupid lab. Next year would be school as well. I won’t get to go anywhere except in February when I will go to Toronto on a conference. Yeah that’s about it for me.

I have always wanted to visit Canada.. I have a aunt in Toronto, she moved out there about 10 years ago...

I don’t like Toronto much. It’s got too many buildings and boring... no mountains or sea... Not very green either. West Coast is absolutely beautiful. Come one summer and I will take you out camping with me. It’s just absolutely amazing.

I think that Victoria and the West coast of Canada is very much like Norway in Europe. If I don’t remember badly, they both have the same climate (Norwegian climate: super rainy) and they’ve got fjords too. I remember Norway as the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen, especially places like Bergen, Narvik... the coast. So I imagine Canadian west coast like Norway... without the coloured wood houses :D (I’ll go some day :D;))

As for me, I did go to Belgium and the other Netherlands :D I did what I said :p

@DaminehGessle: I’m on the next plane out! ;) Nyahahaha. :D

Na. When I wrote that, it was all about war... now it’s all about terrorist attacks! Where I live, we’re on amber alert, as it’s got a main dockyard, with nuclear subs, an airport, and also navy/military city.
It isn’t much fun hearing the air-raid siren go off every Monday morning, for testing, in case anything happened. :(
Recently, it went off on a Thursday afternoon. Even my dad said, ’This is it folks’. Feckity, feck, feck. :(

I took two trips this year, one planned, one unscheduled.

I go to California every year, and that happened again. I spend about 10 days with friends from graduate school. Nice relaxing vaction—lots of swimming—I actually got a tan (now there’s a big deal). . .and as I tack it on to the end of an annual business trip, I don’t have to pay the airfare.

The unscheduled trip was a flight to Seattle and a 2000 mile, three day drive over Easter to move a friend back to Missouri. And she was devestated by her impeding divorce. Lots of talking, lots of crying, some laughs, and lots more talking and crying. It wasn’t my favorite experience, but it ended well, and I’d do it again if I had to.

Santi: I have never been to Norway so I got no clue. It’s not that rainy in here though. It’s normal. If it were not to rain often, it wouldn’t have been this green eh :).

Denstandigaresan: Here in West Coast, we don’t have any worries about the war. I believe Victoria would be the last place they’d want to plan an attack on :). We have military bases but you know Canada... not much into war hehe. It’s awesome in here. I fell in love with Victoria once I moved here. Everyone’s laid-back, athletic, nice...

MiracleMan: I lived in California for two separate 5 months and I don’t know why I do not like that state. The only good thing about it was that I could swim any time of the day any month of the year. But the water was so bad that made me nauseous. I just don’t like having to drive for an hour to get to your destination you know. Your day is gone driving around. I just do not like California :(. It’s good for a vacation though. Used to fly there with my family before I got a job there, for thanksgiving every year a few days you know. It was fine for a few days but more than that of California I cannot take.

I had so good year in 2003, visited: Romania, UK, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Spain, France, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Dubai, Philippines, Turkey. Thanks to my father works international so I go along with holidays! Travel is my favourite.........

Christmas: Armenia and Bulgaria - skiing and seeing some friends. Never skiied Bulgaria, any Roxers have any comments?

Next year??? Definitely Italy in Spring and a weekend in Stockholm with family in January. A whole 3 months in UK to study! Woah, its looking so great even now.
