Hi roxpeople, Myth: I read about this song in some topic and in some older fanmagazine but I can’t find it at all. Can someone tell me where to find it? thanx

Myth is exactlly as the name denotes... MYTH.
Sometimes I think it was a practical joke.
Refrence to it has been floating around I think since HAND came out or even before that. Would be nice to AT LEAST hear even a shitty demo of it. ;)

The original source for the MYTH myth was the CBB! tourbook in ’94. It stated that Per already wrote exciting new songs after the CBB! album: June Afternoon, T-T-T Take It! and Myth. Per once said that it wasn’t actually recorded because he rated it as a weak song!

A little before the release of TWATG (Gessle’s 3rd solo album) The Roxette review published an interview with him. In it he mentions that he recorded a Harleys & Indians remix in his Son.Of.A.Plumber studio, that his solo album has some Marie background vocals and that the next Roxette album will contain this song: Myth. I quote: “Marie has just recorded some beautiful lyrics for a song of mine. It’s called Myth”.
So Myth has been recorded, at least as a demo.
Someone should ask Per. Or steal the song off the T&A studio.
We need some Roxette-devoted 007.

Anyway ... nice guitar chors, nice arrangements, nice Marie vocals (in 2001 for some reason Marie sang even better than in 1999) ... but this is a case of an awful melody. Hate it completely... it’s like Per wrote the song with no inspiration at all. Unless he did and I am not getting it...

For me, Myth is by far the worst song they’ve done ... Well, in a LONG time. Everybody seems to be raving about it, but to me, the melody is plain or even boring - or just none-existent - the lyrics are horrible, and well ... It has none of the charm of other Roxette tracks.

you must remember that Myth isn’t a Album Song, that’s a only Demo... a lot of roxette’s song are different of the demo version, the lyrics are different...

Yeah, I was only on 2 concerts, one in Mannheim at the CBB tour and then in Dortmund in 2001.
Didn’t like the Dortmund gig as much as CBB, it was kind of “uninspired” ;) But it was a nice evening anyway, especially afterwards the swedish people sitting besides me in the tram trying to pronounce the german station names :D
