Ever wondered...

why they didn’t include Run To You in their Crash Tour’s setlist back in 1994? I know they performed the song in Australia, for instance, but why not in Europe? Performing the song in front of 5000-15000 people from night to night would have given the song an extra boost, don’t you think?

Another song worth mentioning is Vulnerable - for the same reasons actually..And does anyone know why they picked such a song as a single from an album which included other more potential hit singles: eg Harleys, What’s She Like, I’m Sorry. Every time I watch the Jburg concert I can imagine Marie doing the latter one right after SMT by the piano...

I was at Sheffield Arena U.K for the Crash Tour and they did perform Run To You. If i remember right, it was towards the end, possibly in the encore. I remember Marie saying it was the next single and there were flyers on the seats for it too.

I also agree that I’m Sorry would have been good live and as a single.

They did perform Run To You in Germany as well. But it was not one of their strongest live-songs.

@ Chester.... yeah I was at Sheffield 94 and I remember “RUN TO YOU” being performed as well.

it ewwas int hre set list but at times they replaced it with hanging on the tele which is a kick ass cover

Run To You was played at Wembley in ’94 :)

The only place they didn’t play RTY was the concerts before Germany, I was at the Scandinavium in Göteborg ’94 and they played ’Hangin’ On The Telephone’ by Blondie instead.

Its coz the single got released after they had made it to Germany.

Vixzer, are you sure about it? How about Helsinki? I remember they played Hanging on the telephone but not Run to You. Or maybe I have bad memory :)

Helsinki was the tourstart, so the concert was before the German shows ... so they didn’t play RTY there.

They also played Run To You in Barcelona. It was 1st December 1994.

... I remember it perfectly because I remember how amazing it was hearing Per singing ’Take a walk inside my dreams...’ That part of the song I think is really beautiful and everybody became crazy in that moment!!!

Speaking of Barcelona and all those tourstops (Sheffield, London..) - is there any place where I could find the number of people that attended each of the CBB concerts?

I don’t know where you can find this information, but the next day I read on the newspapers that in Barcelona attended the concert 17000 fans.

...And Palau San Jordi can fit..what? 20 000 people?

As far as I know in Helsinki there were only 4 500 fans in a hall for 5000 people.

It was also performed on Buenos Aires on 1995. But I also wonder something: some people said that a Kink’s song was performed in Buenos Aires 1995 called “You Really Got Me”. As I couldn’t be there on that concert I wonder if you have heard about this song and even a recording of it...

Rox On.

@Mari - Helsinki was before the German concerts.

Tour dates in 1994: (up until Germany, according to The Look For Roxette)

Helsinki - Finland
Stockholm - Sweden
Norrköping - Sweden
Copenhagen - Denmark
Halmstad - Sweden
Oslo - Norway
Karlskoga - Sweden
Jönköping - Sweden
Göteborg - Sweden
Rotterdam - Holland
Rotterdam - Holland
Kiel - Germany..................etc etc

They might have played in Holland (anyone from Holland that can tell us?)

I can also remember in London that the guitar riff from the Kinks song ’You Really Got Me’ was played during....I think it was either ’So You Wanna Be A Rock ’n’ Roll Star or ’Crashing Guiatrs’
But just the riff that appears at the start of the track, if anyone wants to hear The Kinks original I have an mp3 here as I think they’re cool.

@ Vixzter & the author of The Look for Roxette

I believe they cancelled the Denmark gig - as Per mentioned somewhere Marie was sick.

Animal kingdom,

Yes, in Palau Sant Jordi can fit approximately 20000 people, so it was really busy, nothing to compare with the last tour, which I prefer not to tell how many people there were.

I already know...Some seven thousand, right?

By the way, do you know the place they had their concert at in San Sebastian? And how many people were there? Thanks!

Quick finger..

Run to you wasn’t performed in Holland, we had the Blondie cover aswell..

@animal - I’m just writting what I read in the book.

Anyway....the point I was trying to make was.....they didn’t play RTY til Germany (or maybe Hollamd) as it wasn’t released til then. :P

I know it was supposed to come out in the UK for the week they toured here but sommit got messed up (EMI!!) and it ended up being 1 or 2 weeks later.

@ Vixzter

oh sorry :)

;) The gospel according to St Roxette >;P
