Opportunity Nox - The next flop?

Is there anyone else who thinks ON will be the next Roxette single flop? Not much airplay (both radios and music channels), no sales,...
Maybe the song is listed on a few radio charts in Europe but for the rest...
I’m sorry to say this but it’s getting harder and harder each year for Roxette to get listed in the singles charts.
The albums are doing well but the singles? No attention at all.

flop? i don’t think so.... not so big hit is the better word, it is definitly not a flop, atleast not in Sweden....

I wouldn´t call it a flop, but a moderate hit is more like it. I´m sure it will be a bigger hit than A Thing About You.

whatever, what counts is that I still find the song fabulous!!!! :)

I think everything could be easier if they´re from US or Uk.
But then again no-one is in Top 10 all the time, not even Madonna, Wacko Jacko or U2.

I like the new Roxette single, it rocks, not keen on the video though!

The song has not even been released officialy, at least not here (NL), so please give it at least a fair chance.
If we already doubt the quality of the song, then we really have a problem.

negative and cynical attitude is soooo typical here :D

Ballads hits is not even decreasing in sells yet and people is worrying(?) about a single that’s been released just for contract stuff (or in a hurry). Ballad hits is still present... Opportunity nox didn’t even start in most places.
anyway... so what if it is floping.

The next flop? What was the first?
No matter.
I can not agree with you Pascal. This song won’t be a flop. Moreover it has a big chance to be a big hit.
Listen to it carefully . Maybe the video is not as good as it should but there are certain circumstances that caused it.But the song is pretty cool.

I think ON is not going to be half as big as ATAY. Even though I think ON is one of the best songs Roxette has ever published, it somehow doesn’t get any attention from anyone else but the normal fans... :-(

I’m just ANGRY that some radio stations in Germany are refusing to put the song into their playlist. Some say, it’s to rocky..some don’t say any reasons at all! Why are radiostations allowed to say: NO..we don’t like this song! We Fans are writing e-mails like hell and they still say: No...
EMI..do something...do what all recordlabels do...send them some presents, money or whatever! I know it works with other bands too...or why do have to listen to so much RUBBISH on the radios huh???????

I think some people can’t separate a hit from a flop...If anyone could provide any kind of sales results regarding the current single you’d see...
coyboyusa said on March 13, 2003 17:23:
i just really think this signals something ..u dont go hug with one album and then just sit around waiting for the next one to hopefully do the same...emi’s fault ...pers? i dunno all I know is we shoudl cherish whatever pop hits does cause its gonna be the last new mterial we have for a long time and thats not just me being pesimist

Who cares?
Roxette had their big time with No-1 singles some years ago. Now there are other....
But there is a steadier fan community. No artist can have No-1 hits over 20 years.
Of course I also would be very happy about a No1 hit, but I cannot believe in it.
Greets,
