I know that rox usually don’t play HDYD! live. I’ve heard it live once only and it was HORRIBLE...
I’m not musican, and i’m just wondering, why is this song so hard to play? I think that The Centre of The Heart is harder, but they play it anyway...
Anybody knows???

I think that Real sugar its HDYD! version 2000 and they did pretty well live...

They had a lot of trouble with Real Sugar, at least Per thought it sounded awful in the promition tour.
In vienna (was it vienna?) there were a few of mistakes in that song.

I heard them sing HDYD on top of the pops when it was first released and for some reason per was singing along to himself on the backing track, and he got the words wrong in the second verse. The next day I saw them live in Sheffield on the second part of the joyride tour, and it sounded quite fantastic as it was completely live. Don’t know why he sang along to himself anyway? Marie seemed to be singing just to the backing music in the choruses which sounded fine...

I’m musician and I can tell you it’s a bit hard because it has lots of vocal arrangements and gets very hard to do it with just 4 voices on stage. Besides this, they say it’s hard because it reaches high notes and they don’t usually reach those notes playing live cause, well, you know, it’s a live performance (you move, you dance, laugh, talk, clap...). Those things tend to tire you in a concert. I think that the HDYD! performance they did on Stockholm in 1992 was great, though... It’s a shame this recording has so bad sound...
Well, I hope this could have helped you... At least, this is my point of view. See ya!
