Both Have A Nice Day & Room Service are great albums. There´s only one negativ thing about Room Service and that is it´s too damn short! They should have put three more songs on the album. 43 minutes is just too short.

I think RS is a really good album and Have a nice day is the worst.
When I listened HAND for the first time I felt sad because they clearly changed their style. They were following an evolution line I think it broke with that album. From my point of view C!B!B! and HAND are completely different. HAND lacks of ballads as Vulnerable, nice songs as The first girl on the moon, fast rock songs with GUITARS as Harleys and Indians, Lies (one of my favorites). OK, there are good songs as Pay the price, It will take a long time, Waiting for the rain, but I only like half the songs of the album.
RS has been like recovering their old style. I felt happier when I listened to it cuz I saw they worked harder in that album. The guitars appear again having the main character, and of course the melodies are realy beautiful.
Does anyone think the same?

It sux. So many ballads make it soooooooooo boooooooooring. It has good songs but it’s the exception. I think that the same album without “I was so lucky”, “Anyone”, “Waiting for the rain”, “Beautiful things”, “Stars”, “It will take a long long time”, “Staring at the ground”... (I think I might stop :D) could be even good. But still it bores me.
Anyway, I can always skip every song except for “Crush on You”, “You can’t put your arms around what’s already gone” and “Salvation”, that’s what I actually do often.
So... NO!

What I like about HAND is that it’s got this nice electric sound mixed with the fabulous strings...RS on the other hand sounds a little cheap...And Have A Nice Day stays in the line while Room Service goes from place to place.

HAND and RS album is not my favorits.
The RS tour was Fantastic ( the songs are so much better live I think, then on The HAND and RS albums.
my favorit albums is CBB and TBH (the new songs are F*** GREAT :)
oportynity nox rox song ....... I love this song it’s fab :) I cant stop laughing when I hear it specillay one part in it ;) Anyone else feel like me ????

I haven’t listened to HAND for a long time, but whenever I put it on, I realise how great it is! All songs are really really well done, they all sound perfect. Room Service somehow sounds a little bit unfinished, I mean, the songs on that album semm to have been written in a hurry, they are not that complete as the ones on HAND.

1. I want to get the Spanish version, and not the regular version.
2. Most fans think it’s crap.
A Spanish friend says he can get me the album, so it should be with me in a few weeks... Hopefully it’ll be as good as my favourite album, Room Service :-P

I personally think HAND is a fantastic album and i still listen to it on a regular basis.
Crush On You is superb and the only negative thing about this song is it should have been released as a single.
Wish I Could Fly provided Roxette with a huge international hit.
Anyone is one of the best songs i’ve ever heard and Maries vocals are outstanding.
Stars, well o.k, the Almighty Single Version is better than the album version, but this song is so uplifting.
7 Twenty 7 is energetic and fun.
Cooper is moody and mysterious.
Basically, and this is in my opinion, and i know they’ll be many of you that will disagree, but HAND is a very well crafted album that contained enough comercially likeable pop tunes to give 10 singles and housed enough quality to make any fan feel thorougly contempt. HAND, if not already,will in future become a Roxette classic to every fan.

For me HAND is one of best Roxette albums (together with Joyride and CBB) and one of world best albums in history.
The only problem is that it had too few Rock...
It had smashing songs like COY, Stars & 7twenty7, and great ballads WICF, Anyone, Salvation, Beautifull things & I was so lucky were one of best roxette tracks.
But the album could have been definetelly their best one if it would have had some songs like “Do you wanna be my baby”, “Always breaking my heart” or a song in a CBB style.
I don’t agree with people who compares HAND with RS because HAND is much better, and RS seems incomplete.

I agree. The production on HAND, in my opinion, is fantastic, and I think that’s what makes it stand out. The production is very rich and energetic, whereas on much of RS, the production is a bit dull and light. I enjoy RS very much, but in comparison to the production on HAND, it seems incomplete.

I like HAND now more than I did when it was first released. It seems to sound better with age, I prefer HAND to RS. RS has too many dud songs on it that I just dont like, compared to every other Rox album where I can listen to nearly every song.

I think the lyricks and melodies on HAND are ok but some songs are produced terribly. Stars for example: take away the vocals and you won’t even know it’s Roxette. The same goes for Crush on You. They should have been going on in the line of CBB. HAND is just to easy.

When I listened to COY for the very first time i went crazy the music just got stuck in my head for a long long time, i actually listened to it at the record store about 10 times consecutive on the day i bought the album... but when i listened to the other songs I said to myself something was missing something that make roxette songs sound very strong and powerful but that was lacking there. almost no guitars, too many ballads, stars sounded totally awful to me at the start and ....i don’t know in those days it was a bit of disppointment for me but never to the level of not being able to stand it por hate it cause to hate such record it would have to be from another artist or group never roxette...and yes it’s a roxette album. not one of their best that’s sure the production for me is really really weird and desorganized ...maybe because of how Illbert wanted the album to sound like but it didn’t worked that well in my opinion...
Anyays far from the sales and charts...if you give yoruself some time maybe you start liking it or at least not minding about it..which was what happened to me...i was singing along to the songs and then i liked the album as much as all the others...even stars i started to like it a lot a long time later especially the remixes...
But yes HAND is a very missfortuned album for roxette and the band themselves say the same about it....i like it at least it entertains me a lot..and the production doens’t affect the way i listen to it..it might not sound that good but once again its not a disaster ...no one died because of it lol:)
Until now...COY and BT are still my big favorites from it...it’s just sad that a beautiful song like BT is so underrated because of the “excessive ballad songs” factor on the album...i still love it more than the others actually...
There is one thing about HAND i had to learn ....you can not always expect your fav group to record and do songs always under the same patter you have been “virtually” used to ....there is always a day when things start to sound different...even if it sounds worse but it’s a change you have to take when you been a fan for so many years....so i am not surprised if in the future a rox album will come up with a very new odd sound like it happened on HAND. Hopefully not but it’s not up for me to decide...it’s all the group’s hand and responsabilty. they know what they’re doing even if does not always sound right...it’s a matter of luck sometimes...

Well I think that HAND & RS were a bit of a step backwards for Roxette. Although CBB wasn’t so instant it really grew on me over time and I really think that album is soooo strong it really feels like an album! But with HAND & RS it seems a little everywhere, there is no feel. I think both HAND & RS are good albums though but not the direction I wished Roxette would have taken.

They should’ve included TCOTH in the album when they had the chance - I think just this track alone with the album would’ve change the whole mood, they would’ve released different singles, and the album would’ve sold much more than they could’ve imagined. COY would have been a single then for sure! Still my fave song from the album! RS was lovely, HAND too, but combined with some of the RS tracks on HAND it might have been much better. That’s just my opinion.

BTW ..I do think there r 2 many ballads on HAND, but I love it anyway. RS is my worst roxette album, it could have had so much more potential with a bit of spit & polish, especialy on the lyrics.

I have to say, Beautiful things must be the best song ever written by Marie. It is just so amazing!! and “Anyone” must be one of Roxette’s greatest songs ever alltogether. I really do like this Album, but I do think that “Stars” sounds like some childish cheap dance music.

i’ll say it again hordcore groupie fans get scared when their band stretches their creative legs so to speak. HAND is in every way a traditional roxette album taken into the year too thousand. People were hell bent on disowning the record when it didn’t hit the sales goals they all thought it would. In reality it was their last album to chart with substantial international numbers period. RS is like tourism....a bunch of left over that I think if given the choice per would have left to b-sides ..don’t get me wrong I love the album...it has a nice sunny summer feel to it aside from MAKe my head go why did you record this song a try try to put me to sleep....for me hand wasn’t a skipping exercise RS is...when that happens to me with a roxette album i know something is wrong
