MTV Unplugged DVD

I also think they should record a new Unplugged album. Now they should release it on a CD and a DVD.

What happened to the DVD petition? There are many signatures by now....

Good question. I’m curious too...

The fact that there are a lot of requests for it, it doesn’t mean that they will decide to release it...

I know but it hasn’t been submitted yet.... has it?

I’d just rather have a CD..But as Per promised (and I am counting on it) it’s plugged on the box set. It costs but I’m sure they’ve got the money.

A very good CD (bootleg) for it is called “Uncensored and uncut” and it’s very good sound quality.

Why bother? The unplugged show is a million years old and the playlist sux.

We should make a petition for a brand new MTV unplugged including the new songs. But that won’t happen until Marie is fully recovered.

Has any artist done *two* MTV Unplugged shows yet?

Yes there are R.E.M. who did a second “Unplugged Show”!!! And it was much longer than the first, with brandnew songs! It was absolutely great!!!!

Well, that would be nice of course...

@ Markuz

Yes, you’re right but there are songs we never got to hear (oh, I am now talking about the cd): Surrender, Perfect Day, Spending My Time etc.

But Roxette isn’t alone with this...George Michael faced the same destiny, too - but I’m not too familiar with the reasons behind that story.

About the songs they played (Surrender, Fading like... etc.) and didn’t make it into the show. They didn’t make it into the show ’cos had a lot of mistakes, both in music and singing, in resume... their performance in those songs sucked, that’s why those were left out.

@ Ferdan

Are you sure? How do you know?
Anyway, Per once stated we’d get to hear the _entire_ uplugged session. It was hand.nu’s Ask Per if I remember correctly.

And I think there was also a time limit with MTV. I don’t think they would have let Rox (or any band) play a 2-hour set of songs.

i think i remember Per saying some songs were awful, in Ask Per.

Anyway, you just need to listen to it by yourself

In the bootleg Uncut & Unplugged, there are songs that were good (Watercolour in the rain for,eg.)... but i bet they didn’t make it into the TV unplugged ’cos of the time limit.

But the songs that aren’t in that bootleg, (they’re avaible at Roxservice) are awfully played, and Marie doesn’t sing them too well (sounded really tired)...
spending my time, surrender, fading like a flower... those sounded totally like wihout rehearsal (or not completely adapted to the acoustic format).
