Laura Pausini stole melody from Marie?

Maybe it’s a bit late to tell it but I find Laura Pausini’s “Emergencia de Amor” (Emergency of Love), very similar to Marie Fredriksson’s “Silver I Din Hand”, at least in the melody. What Do YOu Think?

This post was here before, and also “por una como tú” from Paolo meneguzzi has a similar melody...

and she has “stolen” a title from per, surrender

maybe she is a rox fan

Yep, i mentioned this not long ago

anyway, i´ve seen one of her tracklists and in the same album she has 2 or 3 songs with Roxette titles... i think
but oh well

a dutch band also stole the melody of silver i din hand.....the song is called Wonderful....

i haven’t noticed that, let me listen both songs, but i don’t think she copied from Marie.

Warning! I’m not saying the song is completely the same, I’m saying that just THAT part is very similar to the Silver I dIn Hand intro from Marie’s Den Sjunde Vagen...

Per: You should take them to the court right now!!!

What does Per have to do with anything ???.....

What’s the name of that dutch band?

Do you really think she’s heard Marie Fredriksson? :O:|

Whay not???? Italy is not so far from sweden as southamerica, and here even in some radios Marie´s songs were played ...(Efter stormen, Natt efter natt & Alla mina bästa år)

Spain is also closer than Argentina and I’ve never ever heard anything by Marie on the radio. In Argentina Roxette was during some years a very big thing, but Italy I think has never been so Roxfriendly.

And don’t blame poor Laura :(
The music was composed by some keyboard player called Eric Buffat, so Laura didn’t stole anything. Anyway, I doubt they heard Marie Fredriksson in Swedish...

About the titles, there are not so many ways to express what most songs say (most Rox and Laura songs are love ones), they are just words and titles are most times 1, 2 or 3 words. Are you gonna copyright the dictionary? Even then you’re wrong because most lyrics (and song titles) to Laura’s songs are originally in Italian, and she doesn’t do the adaptations to other languages.

By the way... and what about “Run to you” and “I call your name” (for example)???

What do you mean with RTY & ICYN?

@Santi: he-hey I’m talking ’bout Chile’s some radiostation play some Marie’s solo songs -BTW not only in Argentina Roxette was Big. So don’t forget Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Perú...

@regn: Ok, sorry :D Anyway over here you never get to listen songs in Swedish on the radio (I wish someone discovered Kent... it’s so goooooood!!!! :’()

@Skydrum: I was talking about the possible similarities in titles. “Run to you” was a very big hit by Bryan Adams back in 1984 and “I call your name” is a song by The Beatles.

You forgot Run to you by Whitney Houston...

Eddie: i dont know the name of that dutch band, but i think the female singer was from ’Vrienden voor het leven’.

Santi: In Rosario’s Radios (Argentina) play Marie’s song, Tro, I en tid... sa stilla.... and other in a very important radio

But in Spain, Italy, UK... they NEVER play them :D That’s just what I meant.

@Colin : They were called Patty&Swift (or Shift, can’t remember) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES ago and doesn’t even some close to the melody of silver i din hand in the farest of distance. I’m not even sure wether roxette was known already back then.. it must have been short before or short after the look got released (to give you an idea how looooong ago it is)
So no one in the netherlands had even the slightest clue of solo albums made by someone called Marie Fredriksson (who was that cool silver bra anyway? oh, SHE is Marie Fredriksson?.. Cool, I see!) That came somewhat later ;-))

@ Marie Fredriksson : Hey love,.. that italian bra stole your art.. sue the bitch! ;-)) [for tips&tricks ask Per.. ]

@Nick: She’s busy sueing Expressen. And anyway if it ressembles the music Laura is NOT to blame, since she just composed part of the lyrics. She’s not responsible for the music :O

@Santi : With me you mustn’t take it all too seriously.. most of the time I’m just joking ;-))
Besides, with every song you hear there is mostly at least one other song that sounds alike.. but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
