ROXETTE ADVERT ON TV - AGAIN!

Just saw the Roxette TV commercial for the ’Ballad Hits’ and for ’A Thing About You’ in the break for Corronation Street - again!
And my local branch of HMV was sold out of both the album and single today!
And it’s Album of the week with BBC Radio 2.
It appears EMI have done a good job this time around. The album must surely break the top 20 this coming weekend, might even make top 10?
Looking good! :)

Great!!! Do you think TBH will reach top20 on sunday? Seems like its getting a lot of promotion.Too bad they dont really have a new hit single. Then it would be top10 I think!

I almost choked on my Wheetie-Bangs this morning. There, just after Lorraine Kelly - the Ballad Hits! Shame I don’t make a habit of taping her show ...

Will this be the first time in 4 years that I might actualy listen to the album and singles charts on a sunday evening?? ;) I think so.....I hope I’m not disapointed!

On which channel is Corronation Street? If it’s BBC1 or BBC2 some people might see it in some other countries...

The BBC don’t play adverts (well, apart from self publicising themselves ENDLESSLY). They just charge £116 pa for the honour of watching other channels ...
steven said on February 12, 2003 20:53:
For non UK fans... the adverts are being shown on the ITV network and during the most commericially successfully TV show - Corronation Street.
There is no better prime time TV advertising slot in the whole of the UK. It will have cost EMI a fortune so they must believe in Roxette’s ability to do this.

Or Robbie Williams sales are slipping ;) so they they’re trying someone else ;) ’bout time they paid some attention :P

Finally EMI is waking up! Just like here in Holland :-)
Hope Roxette will reach the top again...

@Vix
Agreed!
Imagine... Roxette’s album higher than Robbie’s...
...and it really could happen this week!
Vixzter said on February 12, 2003 21:06:
I hope EMI carry on the promo with TPH, its no good just pluggin one album ...... hopefuly the sales and reaction to the new stuff will be enough to prove to them.

I saw it!! YAY! Had back turned away from TV, I heard LTYH... turned around and YAY! ADVERT! WOOOOO!
Ok, Manda, BREATHE!
dizzydaleks said on February 12, 2003 21:15:
@Vixzter - and with the delay in releasing it, maybe, finally, the UK will hear June Afternoon in the SUMMER! This could be a massive Summer album, if promoted correctly!
Vixzter said on February 13, 2003 07:07:
@dizzy - June Afternoon actualy in June would be fantastic, but it flopped due to bad organisation so I doubt that one will get played, Opp Nox might though! :) the video would fit the UK, let MTV find a reason to ban it though.

the only reason I watched Coronation Street last night was to see if they would play the add again, but how come I didn’t see it???
NigelBarnes said on February 13, 2003 11:29:
June Afternnon was a big radio hit around Bristol that June but then EMI released it in July and that was the last heard of it!
ChrisWilliams said on February 12, 2003 19:52:
Good to hear the ads are still playing. Damn, I should have had Corrie playing... but instead I had She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore :P
Sold out? Depends how many copies they bought in the first place :-D
