no - i agree - but just proves that there are a lot of people out there who want roxettte music in the UK! - Just a bit of promootion EMI UK or whoever you are now - and Roxette do well! Notice that Roxette’s is the highest album in the charts for EMI or Capitol! woo hoo

And I predicted a #41 peak... never been so happy to be wrong. A #23 position for “The Ballad Hits” is fantastic. Even better than “Have A Nice Day” that peaked at #28(not to mention “Room Service at #120...), even after “Wish I Could Fly” peaking at #11!!! EMI, theres a thing about promotion!

i’m just so happy it got as high as it did.... cos roxette dont really fit the “chartin well in the UK” specification!
simply cos they’re not below 40, they arent manufactured, they dont sing crappy songs, they dont go out and get drunk every other night to hit the headlines, they arent spoilt brats and Marie’s not a slappa! LOL!

Excellent news! Not bad with the limited publicity ... I was secretly hoping for a run up poster campaign. Week one: walls covered with posters of a raspberry. Week Two: two raspberries. etc etc People would be asking: “What are all these raspberries” Then, the penultimate poster - a heart of rasperberries. Then the FINAL poster : “Roxette: The Ballad Hits”. Ah, would of been good. But i could just be talking a load of raspberries ... (dizzy off for a lay down ....) :)

And a great idea from ’dizzydaleks’! You know on Channel 5, they have the 5 logo flashing between each advert... This is how they should have used the raspberries - Every now and again, 1 could pop up etc.
Would have been a lot of fun for the fans, too!

in my virgin magestore - they also had ATAY in the new release section - but didn’t even have TBH in the top 75 of their albums....what’s going on here!

waaaaaahooooo number 23 for the ballad hits, what a great new entry, lets hope the single does even better, its a shame as radio 1 run down the top 20 albums now, but hey whos complaining with #23, considering bands like the Pet shop boys who are from this country only got to 36.
