Songs you wish you wrote
Twilight-Ghost said on February 3, 2003 16:04:
I was just wondering if there are any particular songs you people wish you wrote.
Me, I wished I wrote Joni Mitchel’s “Both Sides Now” because it reminds me of myself and how I use to look at things and now see it in a different way.

I thought Per wished he had written “Waterloo Sunset”, the song by The Kinks.

I wish I had written:
I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred (it’s so simple and silly that makes you go, “geez, I could do that!”)
Dancing Queen by ABBA (brilliant melody)
The Look by Roxette (how does Per come up with such hooks?)
Twilight-Ghost said on February 4, 2003 14:59:
Hey Anarem, when I read what you wrote it made me laugh because I rememberd a movie I just saw 3 weeks ago.
Have you heard “The Sweetest Thing” (starring Cameron Diaz) movie’s version of the Right Said Fred song “I’m too Sexy”?
coyboyusa said on February 6, 2003 10:28:
everything by roxette and svage garden, soem stuff by boy george
all the rock songs by the cranberries
everything by heart
the song lost by morrissey
fire on babylon by sinead o’connor....btw where on earth can i get the video for this song?
Anarem said on February 6, 2003 10:42:
@Twilight Ghost:
No, I haven’t seen “The Sweetest Thing” which is odd, because I think Cameron Diaz is pretty funny and I usually go see her comedy films. Was she singing in a karaoke bar, like she did in “My Best Friend’s Wedding”?
Whoever thought the line “I shake my little tush on the catwalk...” would ever be uttered on a pop song?
Twilight-Ghost said on February 6, 2003 17:11:
@Anarem:
NO. Cameron was not singing in karaoke bar the way she did in “My Best Friend’s Wedding” movie.
The scene was her and 2 of her best friends was singing it. The lyrics is different.
The lyrics goes “too big to fit in here”...... now, just think what it means. There’s more to the lyrics. It’s like the whole song was rewritten for that movie.
Watch the movie it is so funny.

“No pressure over Cappuccino”; it’s a great song when you want to think about something.

It costs a lot of money to live, but the price includes a journey around the sun every year! Great huh?
Twilight-Ghost said on February 10, 2003 14:37:
@Vaxjoe: Hello Vaxjoe. About my 2 similar previous posts. When I was posting it I got an error message so I thought it didn’t get through. So, I posted it again. That’s why it ended up with 2 posts that are the same. After that my computer just malfunctioned so I just turned it off.
It’s only now I know both my posts actually got through.
Anyway, you wish you wrote it and I sing it??? Wow....... just like Roxette.

Well I´m not sure about myself but I know Per would say SOS by Abba! He said so! :)
I agree, it´s a perfect pop-song.
