Rumors about "Anyone" UK single...

Back in 1999 I heard a rumor about the UK single of “Anyone”... it was supposed to include a different version of “Crush on you”...
I have never found it... somebody told me it was released for 1 day and then returned to EMI for some reason to be deleted... I can only find the UK promo of it... is this true or what? If it is why?

The song was destined to be released and even reached radio stations as a promo, but the single release was cancelled at the last moment by EMI UK. No official reason was ever provided.
Crush On You was not destined to be included as a B-side. It was going to be Pay The Price.

There was indeed an Almighty mix of Crush On You made...I thought it was to be the 5th single after Salvation, but alas the remix never saw the light of day I don’t think...maybe there’s a Roxette fan out there with it...somewhere. Might be really cool to hear. They did a great job on the Stars remix.

A Crush On You remix does exist. The mixers ’Almighty’ have confirmed it’s existence, but state the decision to release it lies solely with EMI Sweden.

Live recordings of “Church Of Your Heart” and “Wish I Could Fly” will be released as extra tracks on the British “Anyone” single, due to be out on June 22. The tracks were recorded some time ago when Roxette performed at Capitol Cafe in London. The single will be again in 2 different parts. Acoustic Abbey Road recordings (excluding “Help!”) will also be released.

I’ve been keeping the faith for some years on this one and hoped that COY remix would finally see the light of day.
I can’t think of a better forum for it’s release than a Pop compilation. Sadly, It’s just not going to be.
If I were to suggest one word to describe how I feel about Rox at the moment it would be...
