Opportunity Nox = Chained to You by Savage Garden?

Ok, now I know i’ll get flamed, but I think that Opportunity Nox is a copy of Chained to You by Savage Garden.
Per, Per... First Heart (LTYH), then Nick Cave (Cooper), Malmsted (SIMC), now Darren Hayes (ON)... who’s next? Westlife?

I don’t think so! At least I doubt if Per had heard this song more than once. I remember him saying that SG’s “Affirmation” is full of ballads, so obviously he have listened to this particular album before but I find no traces of CTY in ON.
Eitherway I like ON much more than I like CTY, and I do confess I like Savage Garden as well.

I have a hypothesis about this, since I heard “The Centre Of The Heart” (BTW = “I want you” by SG). Per is paying them with their same tricks, and SG boys know it. That’s why they can’t do anything. I bet if they hate Roxette as much as they like to say, if they found IWY similar to TCOTH they would have sued Per.
But then again SG songs sound much alike to Roxette’s that Per can copy them, say it’s his style and SG boys have to accept it, because in fact SG sounds like Rox produced other way. If SG sues Per Per sues them back and they look like stupid, because Per would win in any court.
SG sound like a development of Roxette and Per copying them just “develops” Roxette :D

Don´t try to compare SG to Roxette. Both groups are totally different. If you ever listen to SG you will see that is more rock and Roxette is more teenie-pop. The SG Boys would rather cut off their hands than copy one of Gessles cheap bubblegum-songs. sorry...

@Per: if you’re reading this... Darren’s voice is great and many of his SG singles remind me of some great Roxette-songs that kick ass but always end up as b-sides... Perhaps you should invite him over to Stockholm once - to pick out the right single releases (WICF,SALVATION,MATAH,ON-excepted) and to recommend a good video producer (Jesper Hiro excepted).

I really wish people would drop the SG = Rox comparisson. It’s been going on since I was in High School when one of my friends has the audacity to tell me that Roxette has a song called “Chica-Cherry Cola” O_o?!
