They still exist?!!
About 15 years ago they were very good.
After that I did not hear anything from them.

The last time I heard from them, they had released an acoustic live album– “The Road Home”, I think. It’s got amazing versions of “Alone” and “These Dreams”

Yes, Heart are great, but sorry, as good as those 80s songs were, they really were not representative of their creative spark and homespun hard-edged sound in the 70s, when Heart were considered the female Led Zeppelin. Those 80s hits Ann + Nancy did not write!! Don’t get me wrong, those songs were good, but were really HACKWORK, typical examples of the way the pop biz worked back then, forcing these songs by LA songwriters onto bands like Heart, who write their own material, as that’s what top 40 radio played then. Heart were in a position where they had no choice, and as a result, longtime fans were completely turned off from the band.
Honestly, I like those songs, they actually hold up well, but if you want to hear the REAL Heart sound, pop on 70s hits like “Magic Man”, “Barricuda”, “Straight On”, etc. Their 1976 debut album “Dreamboat Annie” is an utter masterpiece, and yes, it is like a female Led Zeppelin album, where Anne wails like Robert Plant on estrogen. The new album is going to sound more like their 70s work than their 80s stuff, a step in the right direction, but I loved the fact they worked with Lisa Dalbello, covering her genius, ahead-of-her-time songs “Black On Black” and “Wait For An Answer”. Plus, Nancy Wilson, aka Mrs Cameron Crowe, is one of the best guitarists around, male or female.

There are many similarities between Rox and Heart´s music I think.
“Alone” is one of my all-time fav.
