Live-ism DVD

Today I went to a shop here in Germany and by accident I found Live-ism on DVD. It says “Industria Brasileira” on the back so I think it is made in Brasil. It has the same tracks as the video tape but also includes a biography and a discography. I haven´t watched it yet cause my parents (where I am for christmas) don´t have a DVD player. Anyone knows more about it?

1. Yeah it is a direct copy from the laser disc. Except for the audio, since it in 5.1 Dolby. There are portuguese subtitles also :)
2. The biography and discography contains very little information, they’re not worth even if you actually can read portuguese :)
3. It’s not a official release by EMI. It was released within a magazine called “DVD World” (This magazine releases different DVD titles every month, and there was a special release about Roxette), so it is still a perfectly legal product.
4. It can be bought by R$19,90 (less than US$7) plus shipping at http://www.dvdworld.com.br

And meaning region 0, does that mean it can be played in a region 2 dvd player?

Yes. You can play the DVD on a region-2-player or a Sony PS2. The quality of the DVD is not better than on the VHS-Casette. I bought mine on ebay for about 11$.

I am very picky when it comes to DVDs. And this was not bad at all, cept for the damned subtitles.

I found out that shipping to Germany from dvdworld.com.br is R$19,00( about 5,25€) for 1 or 2DVD’s. The LiveIsm-DVD is R$19,90( about 5,50€). So it’s the cheapest way to get the DVD. The more DVD’s you order the cheaper get’s the shipping. And they sell movie DVD’s for about 10€...
