good analysis.
Do you know if RS sold GOLD in many countries? Maybe that’s a better comparision ...

Gold for RS in Brazil too. But to be honest, at least here in Brazil TBH will outsell RS for sure. In the most important sales store, TBH is #5 and it’s #1 among internacional pop albuns (RS didn’t chart at all in this top). I think that here TBH will sell close to the 400.000 copies of DBUGTTC !

Well, RS was Gold in Germany and there is just no way TBH is going to accomplish the same, as TBH have dropped out of the German charts already.
But worldwide I think TBH are going to sell more than RS.

I guess TBH might go Gold as well since compilation albums are all-time-sellers... While an album is outdated at a certain point, greatest hits-albums keep on selling.

so, people say, Greatest hits always keep selling well? I can not agree with that somehow, i mean, DBUGTTC peaked at Number 8 in Germany. TBH peaked at Number 10.
The worst Roxette album in Germany was Room Service, which peaked at Number 3, any other Studio album peaked higher than Number 3 in Germany.
DBUGTTC has sold 4.5 Million Copies, and that Number somehow didn’t change since 1996.

Arnie: hasn’t TBH sold more copies than those two albums already?

It’s hard to compare because the general sales are much higher before christmas. On the other hand the competition is much stronger than in the rest of the year. You see the result in the lower chart positions of TBH. Maybe #25 now means more sales than #5 in april!?
