US release of Ballad Hits, finally not tagged “IMPORT” on amazon.com. This seems to confirm the 1/28 release date also.

Good news for American fans - it’s too bad you have to wait so long for a domestic release.
With the weak Canadian dollar, you may want to consider purchasing through www.hmv.com
the 2 CD set goes for $19.99 CAD or $13.15 US - somewhat lower price than what is currently advertised on Amazon ($16.50 US I think) - and it’s available right away.

Do you know if the US release will contain 2 cd’s as well...

I think it’s just 15 track, which means no EP. But then they don’t really need the EP because the US has been missing so many great songs from them. More than 1/2 of the album are songs most americans have not heard before.

hope that roxette will get on top of american charts again *dreaming and hoping* :-)

but first of all marie should get well...

This is quite interesting. So it looks like it’s going to happen after all? I take it that there’s actually no “single” being promoted then? Then again, it was the same scenario in Canada, right? Was “A Thing About You” even sent to Canada radio stations?

All they need to do is send “Breathe” or “A Thing About You” to U.S. radio and see what happens. However, I really believe in “Breathe” becoming a U.S. hit, since it appeals very strongly to the U.S. format. At least try it!!!

I don’t understand the situation. They honestly can’t expect it to sell big with little promotion - unless somehow Capitol USA launches some type of promo for Valentine’s Day regarding the project and/or Per makes a few tv/radio show appearances.

With a release date of January 28, one would think that a radio release single would be heard of very shortly, if not by now already.

I guess I can’t complain if Roxette get to release their albums in the U.S. on a U.S. label - without having fans scramble store to store or online to buy their latest release. Availability and distribution are key here.
