sirc, you know what? pearlsofroxette picks up the material that was already uploaded to inet by “soon forgotten person” and places it there. I haven’t seen much of files there made/ripped by the owner of the site or by the team. So material in this case is “costed nothing” like.
What I know for sure is that some cool guys like Alex, AGBF, Thomas are getting/ripping some “nicies” fast and share them for everybody under willing to be placed onto some sites (like famous roxbytes or rusrox). Later Pietro, Alex or Argentinian guy place the linx here and everybody is happy.
Well, now let’s see how to place links without the persons who gives material. Seems like now people are thinking on amount that they’ve contributed into the book. Where from will you get your demos now, huh? ;)

P.S. Have nuthin’ against sharing. Personally made Zurich bootleg live for AGBF and roxbytes. Also learnt Jens what VBR MP3s were for real.

I think the problem here is that many of us know the author of the book and know that he has put a lot of work into it. We all hope that he at least make a few bucks out of it, and by not sharing these mp3’s at the moment hopefully there will be sold a few more books. Later on these songs will be available for those of you that aren’t able to buy book, just be patient.

I had all roxette songs as mp3’s before I had cd’s ,
but then I bought all of them. Now I have over 60 roxette related cd’s. I preorderd the book , but I would like to also hear the songs before it comes in janury(hopefully). I already been charged for it.
We are all fans here after all.Not everyone is blessed with a fortune so we should help each other out.
People are not asking to upload the whole book, just the songs. I’m sure those who don’t wanna share it and hiding behind moral issues have some sort of mp3’s that they don’t have cd’s of.
It’s not an issue of morality , it’s an issue of selfishness.

Extensive biographical information is also included, as well as a ’tourography’ that covers all solo and Roxette tours, plus specific single performances” (the quote is not exact) AND the 4 songs in high quality. it could hurt the sales, if it was just the EP, but who thinks in that way “well, nobody wanted to upload the demos, so I ordered the book , but now I already have them , so I cancelled my order” ?! somebody who wants to buy the book, and can afford it, will buy it; and who can’t afford or doesn’t want, will not buy it. so, uploading these demos is a chance for the fans who can’t pay however-costs-the-book to hear something rare.

I have been around the rox-world for..10 years about..I remember when in 94 i started to have penpals...I remember that a typical thing was to send the so called “collection lists”..some fans had rare stuff (nowadays you would laugh at what the rare stuff was :P) ..so..when I didnt have something from a list I could send a blank tape to the fan who had sent me the list..and the fan would record that rare stuff..
BUT...
I also remember that some of these fans had a big problem with sharing, that they would only “share” their precious collection if you would send an item as rare as the one you wanted from them..or some where not even sharing it at all “NOT TO TRADE” it said.
Also..some had problems with sharing pictures.
so this is no new (to me at least) at all. That was frustrating.

I asked her e-mailadres and will send the songs to her, because she is not able to get it in an other way.
For persons who are able to get the book, I am not wanting to share the files: just buy the book.

Of course i know how you feels cos i lived in the former comunist country, with around 400 DM per month,no credit cards,no bank account.. the cost of life(food and oil for example..) is almoust the same as in Vienna.
But somehow we survive... and even living better and joyful than others – you can ask SS,he knows about me :-))....
I know the times when ppl share the blank cassete cos i’m fan since 1989,but as you may see we living in the new time–.... the world is more united,you can send the money to the other corner of the world for seconds...so i think that what ppl like tevensso and ppl from RFO are trying to do is the future-THAT IS THE REAL ROX COMMUNITY–trying to help others to buy Rox stuffs instead of only downloading mp3...

The mp3 will hurt the sells, it’s hard to be avoid, sooner or later the mp3-s will be on the net as always(as we see only a few days were enough) but we can wait even a few weeks for it–isn’t it ???-it’s worth if we help the author to sell a few books.
When you see how many years of work put the author on it, you can wait a week-just to show some respect to his work!!!

i was kind enough to call to someppl who can’t order the book and play song for them...even out of my country.. so there are maybe different kinds of kindnest but the loyalty is 1-and you even have it even not...
