Gessle's words and phrases

I read before in DBUGTTC album (the PG and MF comments) that their producer Clarence Ofwerman jokes about PG’s song having too much “ice cream” and “balloons” in his lyrics.
But I think this is not the case. I think the most common words and phrases PG use in his lyrics are the following:
“Say/save a prayer” or the word “prayer”
Perfect Day, Soul Deep, Jefferson, Almost Unreal (just to name a few - you can add to the list if you want)
“Lay me down/lay yourself down/lay it down” or the words “lay” and “down”
Perfect Day, Church of Your Heart, Things Will Never Be The Same (just to name a few - you can add to the list if you want)
“making/make love”
Fireworks, Come Back (Before You Leave), Cinnamon Street, Sleeping in my Car (just to name a few - you can add to the list if you want)
What do you all think? What other words and phrases do you believe are common in PG’s lyrics?

The reference to Icecream & Balloons is about the perceived style/sound of Per’s songs and not the actual occassions these specific words appear in the various songs.
Icecream & Balloons = Light, fun, smiley, happy etc etc...

hahaha, well, basically, all he can talk about or sing/write about is making love! bless him!

When interviewed, Gessle uses the word “basically” very very often :-)

@pietROxette:
What I’ve gathered from watching the documentaries ’Really Roxette’ and ’The Making of Joyride’ and from reading some of Marie’s interviews. She uses the word “suspicious” very often.

@steven:
Yes, I knew that. But I think Clarence meant both (not sure now). He meant that PG’s songs are “too jolly and lightweight” as well as referring to his frequent use of the words “ice cream” and “balloons” in his lyrics.

To quote Per Gessle:
“You know, our producer Clarence Ofwerman sometimes jokes about my songs being too much “ice cream and balloons”, too jolly and lightweight - but this is actually the first Roxette song to include both “ice cream” and “balloons” in the lyrics”.

lol, ’making love’ makes him sound so romantic and perfect even if he doesn’t think so. I have noticed that they are always watching the stars and waving bye bye to clouds !!!
June afternoon is the perfect example of your ice-cream and balloons!!!

Funny,
Last week I wanted to reply to someone in an other forum (I thought Winterangel) and had this comment of Per in mind and already written down, as there was an error message on my screen and did not have time anymore to react on it.
But now this topic comes up again...

Yes Zaine... As I was reading the comments, I wanted to mention June Afternoon. I guess the ice-cream and balloon songs are so cool cause they’re so happy and gay. You listen to June Afternoon and you become happy no matter what mood you are in. I like that.
