It means nothing in Spanish. I guess it means nothing in no language. The chorus is thought as to sound like a Spaniard faking English singing.
Even meaning nothing this song was banned in Honduras because there some Church related people thought “Aserejé” could mean “Ser hereje” (To be an heretic). The explanation of them went on saying that the guy the song is about is in fact the devil... :/

Ya know what?? I heard their whole album, and it really wasn’t TOO bad!! Definitely a 1-hit wonder, but the whole album is kinda fun, with elements of rock, reggae and ska. Um, their hit, “Asereje”, that was their interpretation of “Rappers Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang, where they go “I said a hip hop hip hop”, like in “The Wedding Singer” and the old lady was singing/rapping the song. It’s very silly, and it blew up huge cuz people got the vibe of the song, yet everyone knows they are a novelty, even down to their name “Las Ketchup” a funny poke at their dad, the Spanish flamenco guitarist Tomate. They don’t take themselves seriously, and neither do anyone else. It’s basically all a big joke. Um, the sisters’ pics were eh, but in the video, they look cuter, but are not really my type at all.
