I don’t know much about movies, so the ones I liked the most were: “Shrek”, “Ladybird, Ladybird”, “Jalla Jalla” (svedish movie) and “Por fin solos” (Spanish movie). I like to laugh :DDD
StillFar said on December 3, 2002 14:48:
Santi, what’s ’por fin solos’ about?
there is this great spanish director, Pedro Almodovar, his movies are amazing!
Santi said on December 3, 2002 14:54:
It’s about a family, the sons and daughter are pretty grown up but they still live in their parents home. But the parents are pretty fed up of them, so they start a plan to make them go away. And they say they start “Independence war” :D
It’s pretty funny, in the end they make the son prefer to live alone (cause parent’s home is not a “hotel” anymore for them) :P It’s a very good comedy, for me anyway :) “Por fin solos” means “Finally alone”.
The one you say is Pedro Almodóvar... or as our well known Penélope Cruz would say in the oscars: “Pedroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo” :DDDDDDDDDD
There are very good directors in Spanish, but I don’t know anything about cinema. Right now I remember Almodóvar, Alejandro Amenábar, Santiago Segura... euh... ok, there are a lot more but cinema is not my business definitely :DDD

Other nice movies for me (as a non-movie-freak)
LOTR, The Matrix (they don’t know how close they might be to the truth with that story!!), The English Patient, Robin Hood (Men in Tights) –> a great comedy!

A few, mostly of the same kind:
- My left foot
- In The Name Of The Father
- Schindler’s List
- Lord Of The Rings
- James Bond (whole series)
Also, Moulin Rouge really surprised me, and kind of got to me, at least thinking of the music. But the romantic mood, superb music, and Nicole Kidman made this pretty special. Besides Lizzie McGuire is a superb character, and I really like Hilary Duff playing her.
