What’s the point in releasing a version of the TBH copy protected and another one not? :/ :| The ones that have the non copy protected can make mp3 and distribute them thru KazaA as well as the rest of normal people... with just 1 file in MP3 that can be done :/

I was wondering the same thing myself. It’s the same with the “A Thing About You” maxi-single. It is NOT copy-protected, since one has to be able to play it on the computer for the video. I was easily able to rip an MP3 or wav file from this, yet I can’t do the same with the album.
I don’t understand. I guess it’s Capitol’s way of controlling people burning the CD for another person. I know people who say “can you burn me that CD?” so they don’t have to buy it themselves. So, instead of just making it easier for fans to just burn copies for each other, they will have to buy the album themselves or download the music for free from the Internet.
And it makes me wonder in which situation the record company would lose more - not using copy-protection and allowing free burning or using copy-protection and having fans get the songs for free from the Internet without making any purchase whatsoever.
