"Stay (At Home, At Work, At Play)"

Has anyone listened to this song? I just downloaded it from http://cn.roxette.org and it’s really really nice. Explosive chorus!
It’s Ann Louise who sings it and this Chinese site says it was Per who wrote it.
I’ve read that the demo version of this song will be on the “The Look For Roxette” CD. Hope it’s Marie who sings that version.
I’d like more info on this song, please.

Normally the demoes are recorded by songwriters... And most Per songs by Roxette, the demo is always sung by Per :O
gyllene_tjej said on December 1, 2002 20:29:
I hope it will be Per to sing that one, the song fits him :)
joyrider said on December 1, 2002 20:42:
wow - this song is again (like do you wanna go with me, bad moon and new world) just amazing! catchy chorus!! hopefully marie will rock on this track!
Santi said on December 1, 2002 22:25:
Marie won’t sing it, marie never sings in demos by Per. Marie lives in Stockholm and the demos are recorded in Tits & Ass, Halmstad, isn’t it?
I’m pretty sure it’s Per singing the demo.
tevensso (moderator) said on December 1, 2002 23:11:
Per sings on all the demos but Waiting For the Rain. The EP is wonderful!
Santi said on December 1, 2002 23:17:
“Waiting for the rain” is a song by Marie. Per sings all his demos... always... (except SIMC when there was not material time to make a real demo :DD)
Mari said on December 2, 2002 00:54:
Santi, how about demos The Voice and From Head to Toe? They are written by Per but Marie sings demos...
Sascha said on December 2, 2002 08:32:
... and You Don’t Understand Me demo. In fact many songs that Per wasn’t able to deliver in a proper way.
Little YDUM story: Per wrote the song together with Desmond Child, but it wasn’t intended for Roxette. They were not able to sing the demo, so clever Per called Marie. Her amazing voice blew them away...

OH MY GOD!
This could have been a real kick-ass Roxette single
(I hope this doesn’t get edited)
joyrider said on December 2, 2002 18:37:
if roxette had released this song (with marie on the vocals) instead of the centre of the heart roxette would have topped all charts around the world (exept the u.s. *g*)
WANNA HAVE MARIE ON THE VOCALS AND WANNA HAVE THIS ONE RELEASED!!!
m-cvk said on December 2, 2002 19:59:
@Sascha: have you ever heard the YDUM demo?
Or even better: do you have it or do you know where to find it?
Thanx!
MC

@ m-cvk: On the booklet of “Don’t Bore Us...” Per says he asked Marie to sing on the demo of YDUM.
Still I hope Marie will rock on the demo of “Stay (At Home, At Work, At Play)”! - like our friend joyrider said before. :)
xuseam said on December 3, 2002 06:48:
I have a version of “You Don’t Understand Me”. I don’t know whether it is demo, but it sounds like a demo, I will upload it on http://cn.roxette.org next week.
Sascha said on December 3, 2002 07:42:
@m-cvk: No, I don’t think that it’s published. I only know the original and the abbey road version.
@ xuseam: Maybe you mean that one?
tevensso (moderator) said on December 3, 2002 08:31:
OK, one more time; Marie does NOT sing Stay, I have the CD so I know.
m-cvk said on December 3, 2002 09:07:
@Thomas: you’re such a lucky person... still a few weeks for most other people to hear those demos.
Can’t wait to hear the demo of “I do believe”, I really like the Parish-version!
colinvdbel (moderator) said on December 3, 2002 11:08:
I just want to say one more thing. The song Stay isn´t entirely written by Per, he wrote it together with MP Persson. If you haven´t got the song, please mail me and i can put it online somewhere for you.
Cheers!
Colin.

@Colin: if you’re talking about Per’s demo, please put it on the internet! I’d love to hear that version.

@colinvdbel: Can you put in on any site in mp3 ? I can download the song, but I can´t listen to it!
Would be very nice!
m-cvk said on December 3, 2002 11:49:
@bbrox: if you downloaded the song from the Chines website, you just have to chance .lsn into
.mp3 and you can listen to it. That’s what I did and it works.
LoneGunman said on December 4, 2002 13:17:
Is there already any place on the net to download the demos taken from the book “The Look For Roxette” ? I’m dying to listen to “Looking For Jane” demo version... and since I’m sure I’ll never put my hands on a copy of this book, a mp3 is my only chance to listen to the demos.
All the best

Strange title.
I can imagine Staying at home, and staying at work.
But what the hell does one do by staying at play???
joyrider said on December 5, 2002 16:21:
i think they mean xxx-games or whatever ... i can’t imagine other “playing stuff” in a song like in this one ...
colinvdbel (moderator) said on December 6, 2002 15:04:
Well, the version form ann-louise i can put online somewhere for you. As for the demo, just buy the book :) http://www.trfo.tk or [email protected]
Vixzter said on December 6, 2002 17:59:
can someone send me an mp3 of this version of the song? cheers in advance.
colinvdbel (moderator) said on December 6, 2002 17:59:
The lyrics are: ’Stay, I want you all the way (i want yu, i want you), at home at work at play ...’
roxlad said on December 1, 2002 19:30:
Correct... but I thonk the demo is sung by Per.
