Today i gotta start writing a 5-page research paper for Anthropology! Not so fun!! Especially when there will be lots of snow falling on Thanksgiving Day’s eve. (Wed, 27,2002).
But it’s alright, 3 more weeks of classes and my 3rd semester in college will be over! Then one month off... Waitng for the US release of ATAY and TBH!
Well, that’s my post for today. (This random diary idea is cool).

Bad!!! Classes weren’t canceled even though it snowed. Buaaa!! Anyway, everything is so white and beautiful out here now. Well, at least we have a 4 days break because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. I’m in school right now waiting for my Anthropology class, which is 28 minutes away, to start.
Yeah, a nice relaxing party would be cool.
Today, i’m feeling pretty happy. Must be the 4 day break and the beautiful snow on the ground. :-)!
My post for today.

Why don’t you use internationally agreed ºC to say temperatures in the USA?
Could you explain why don’t you accept SI-metrical system?
Nefatari said on December 10, 2002 09:29:
I guess, he can continue using F instead of °C ... just let me know, how do I convert from F to °C and from °C to F ??
Today it’s pretty cold in Vienna again .. yesterday we had -9°C, today it’s -7,8°C, but the sun is shining ;)
Heavy busy day today ;(
Santi said on December 10, 2002 09:51:
ºC = (ºF - 32)* 5/9
ºF = (ºC * 9/5) + 32
But anyway this site could be Celsius friendly because that scale was invented by Anders Celsius, who was born in Uppsala, Sweden. He got the melting and boiling temperatures of pure water and divided the thermometre into 100 units, 0 in the boiling point of water and 100 in the melting point of snow.
You see I’m bored...
Santi said on December 10, 2002 09:53:
You can always do it automatically if you don’t have a calculator near :D :

I’m student, future Geographer if in 2003 everything goes ok with it. I like Climatology, it’s my main subject now.
I’m also a musician, in fact it takes more time from me than Geography. It began like a kind of hobby when I was younger.
And you?
StillFar said on December 10, 2002 18:11:
Geography…in which field do you want to work after your studies?
Any music you want to share?
Myself: software engineer…how original is that?
btw, they don’t have ’por fin solos’ at the video rental :(....
Santi said on December 10, 2002 18:43:
I’d like to do Environmental Impact Assessments, is the best in what a geographer can work.
Well, other chance would be “weather man” :D The “weather men” in Valencian (some) and Catalan (most) TV are geographers :P
I like also everything that has to do with environmental hazards, like cold waves, floodings, earthquakes...
My favourite subject in the whole Geography program has been Oceanography, but it was just an introduction and it a whole different science (which, along with Biology I’d love to study some day :P).
What else could I do as geographer... well, we are able to design or find ways for hiking and make a correct map of it, study the local climatic conditions of a city and advice architects about bioclimatic solutions according to wind patterns, usual atmospheric situations due topography, solar irradiation, distance to the sea or regional geography...
And this is just with Physical Geography, that is what I like the most :P
About the music, right now I was with the guitar recording a demo :D I’ll let you know ;)
wendy said on December 10, 2002 19:46:

Well,the lady’s their hair needs to be OK for Christmas and newyear,isn’t it??? :p
LittleSpooky said on December 11, 2002 05:25:
Santi: To touch as to why we (Americans) still use F over C and Standard as opposed to metric: Most Americans are retarded. Plain and simple. “Conversion to metric is just too difficult to adapt to.” was one of the UNOFFICIAL reasons. Personally, with metric, everything is done in Base-10 and I find that easier to mess with. However, most in my country do not agree, and it’s just “too damned difficult” to get them to think about converting.
I flip between both. I use a converter to help me convert between the 2, as a courtesy to those I talk to that use metric :o)

@vaxjö
Yes, I’m really into that christmas-thing. But it’s not all about consuming and tourism. I really love doing the traditional things, I don’t buy Christmas presents, most of them are really beautiful, handmade ones.
I don’t believe in God, so I don’t celebrate Jesus’s birthday, but I do believe in love, my family, my friends. And I try to have some quiet moments during christmastime, quiet moments together with my family and friends, to feel the love and harmony between us ;)

Christmas dinner in its finest. Tasted better than turkey *lol*
For the record: I hate Christmas. People lie WAY TOO MUCH during the holiday season. A few of the benefits though: Eggnog (goes great with rum or vodka, I prefer the latter), lights aren’t bad, when they’re tasteful. Some of the songs are hip....
