yes Vivien that is true! :P I thought I was the only one I had noticed it ;)
HUH I know “with or w/o you” and “ett enda liv” and I have never thought they had some similarity, will have to check again.

Listen to the lead up verse to the chorus in ’One’ by U2 and ’Every Day’ and there is a similarity. Any person with a musical ear should agree! Lots of people do... No bad feelings Per!

Every Day’s music was composed by Marie Fredriksson.
I don’t think the similarity is that big, agree with Ferdan...

The melody has the same kind of resolution.... and that’s it.
——————–
I repeat Ett enda liv of Marie really based on With or without you of U2
Bass line and drums.... and some synth arrangements really give the with or without you feel..... the melody doesnt.
———–
And want another U2 reference in Roxette?
well, Staring at the sound with Staring at the ground have actually some guitar effects and arrangements in common..... isn’t it santi?

Yeah Ferdan, you’re right :D Ett enda liv sounds just like With or Without You :D Even the guitar effects reminds you of U2’s greatest song :D (for me at least).
But here Marie is not to blame since the composer is also Anders Herrlin... and I’m almost sure the bass line was composed by him.
And again with Staring at the sun :D Yeps :P
I’m not so much into U2 and Marie’s work, I had to check it... yesterday was the first time I listened to Ett Enda Liv :D

And Per sings “One is such a lonely number ” the same way like Madonna in “Open your heart”.

It’s not the melody in the vocals that sound alike, but the bass, the chords, it’s the feeling that you get.

Listen to the similarities. The verses are almost exactlt the same before they lead up to the chorus!!!! Roxette’s is better of course!!!
