These are all sales charts positions of TBH which I already know
room-service said on November 14, 2002 14:00:
Yes TBH only entered at #5 in sweden (2nd highest NE) - on #1 there is still HÅKAN HELLSTRÖM, who has already sold platin. The highest new entry is Robyn at #2, who also sold gold like TBH.
BTW ATAY drops to 25 (24) in sweden this week.
A shorter way (at least easier to remember ;)) to the TBH SalesChartsTable:

In Belgium the Ballad Hits enters at # 21, also not so good as Have a Nice Day and Room Service, which both became no. 1
In Holland TBH didn’t make the first 100 (which not a great surprise...)
ATAY in Belgium is down to 45.....
Pascal said on November 14, 2002 15:53:
@Stevier: HAND and RS didn’t enter the Ultratop at n° 1 in their first week, so I expect TBH will go higher next week.
animalkingdom said on November 14, 2002 17:02:
To be precise RS or HAND did not get to #1 in Belgium at all - not on the national sales charts anyway.
It was in Flanders where Roxette seems to quite popular. You know, Roxette hasn’t got very much territory in the French-speaking parts of the world (Wallony, for instance).

For Belgian fans:
I just went to the Fnac and the ballad hits was sold out. I kid you not. I found one single copy.
either they have stashed them somewhere in the back, or they were truly sold out.

The Ballad Hits is up from 21 to # 6 in Belgium (Flanders)!!!

More chart news, this time from Portugal. (Perhaps another entry for your table room-service? ;) On the 3rd week after its release, TBH finally hits the portuguese nacional sales top 30, peaking at #9! Rather nice peak for a start, I’d say? (Well, maybe not as nice as DBUGTTC! back in ’95, which entered the top right on the 1st week after being released, charting as high as #1, but still, still nice, I think? Especially when you look back to see that the last Roxette album charting here was HAND, as, sad but true, RS didn’t quite make it to reach our sales top 30, indeed it didn’t... :( So I’d dare saying this is not that bad of a start for TBH, at all, huh? :) Even more considering that, so far, it all was achieved *without* any kind whatsoever of comercial promo spots on the media, neither on TV nor on the radio, not that I’ve seen or heard anyway!) Well... Let’s see how things go next week...
room-service said on November 23, 2002 13:42:
@j_karlsson2: Can you tell me where I can find the official Tjeckia charts on the net? Thanky you :)
@sweepi: Thanks for the chart position of portugal :) Do you know a site where I can find the official charts of this country? Thanks :)
I’m also looking for the official spanish charts on the net, can somebody help me with this? Thanks a lot
j_karlsson2 said on November 23, 2002 15:22:
room-service: There is a site called “Charts all over the world” that is pretty good. You’ll find some official charts there...but (to be honest) mostly bullshit radiocharts. But maybe you’ll find something new (if you don’t know this site allready)!
http://www.lanet.lv/misc/charts/
By the way...like the chart table on your site!!!
room-service said on November 23, 2002 16:52:
@j_karlsson: Thank you :))
I already know this page, but the link for the official (?) spanish charts is dead, I don’t know, if the site from portugal shows the official charts & the same problem I have with the charts from Tjeckia...
BTW I noticed that I left out the word “Tjeckia” in my question above (I already edited this ;)) - Do you use this site (http://www.ifpicr.cz/) for you infos or do you have another site? Thanks a lot :)
Oliver said on November 23, 2002 21:25:
This week TBH climbs from 17 up to 8 in Switzerland. That´s pretty good.
j_karlsson2 said on November 23, 2002 23:07:
room-service: Yeah, the spanish site is a u-turn these days. And yes, that is the site I use for Tjeckia...however, I suppose I can’t be sure of it is the “Official, official tjeckian” chart...or if it is just a certain store’s “official chart”...maybe someone here knows the language and can check out the link so we’ll know!
sweepi said on November 25, 2002 23:57:
@ room-service:
Well, I’d for sure be more than happy in helping you with that... if at least I myself knew where such a site is to be found, which unfortunately I don’t. :( I’ve been on the hunt for it too, for as long as since RS days, but apparently, with no great luck, so far... :( So, the only reference here in Portugal seems to really be a TV programme which presents the official national sales top 30 chart, weekly, on Saturdays afternoon... Before, the producer of this TV programme even had a site ( http://www.edipim.pt ) where they published the Portuguese sales charts also, even though they didn’t use to have it so much up-to-date, but anyway, even this one appears to be off these days... :/ So the much I can do as for this moment is to link you to a couple of news articles, one in the site of the TV station which broadcasts that charts programme I just referred to above ( http://www.rtp.pt/index.php?article=25974&visual=5 ), and the other one in a music dedicated site ( http://www.amusica.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1354 ), where you may check this past week’s sales top 10, don’t know if this is of any help?... But then again, it is just the top 10 though... :/ Which, speaking of it, reminds me of this little note I had for you, that perhaps it should be mentioned in your charts table, concerning the entry for Portugal, that that refers to the top 30?... (As that info really is referent to only the 30 most sold albuns, that’s the much the chart divulged on that TV programme here covers, the top 30 only.) But then, and back to the above, I shall keep on my search for some site here with our national sales charts, and, if I ever get to find it, so I shall let you too know. And untill then... so I’ll keep an eye on TV every Saturday afternoon. ;) Hope Roxette will still be appearing there next week...
And btw, something else, about that other site j_karlsson2 pointed out above ( http://www.lanet.lv/misc/charts/ ), you said you didn’t know whether the chart for Portugal found there (Top Portugal Online) was official, but no, it is not. That’s just personal charts made out of online voting, it has absolutely nothing to do with sales. (And the other one, Radio Comercial - Tabela Semanal, well, as you probably may have guessed already, that one is also not regarding sales either, yes, it’s just a radio chart. Of a radio station which does not include Roxette on their airplay even.)
sweepi said on November 27, 2002 11:04:
Portugal yet again: this week TBH maintains the 9th place on the sales top 30 here! :)
(@ room-service: you may check it @ http://www.rtp.pt/index.php?article=27207&visual=5 or http://www.lusa.pt/show_doc.asp?service%5Fid=Jornal+LUSA+Cultura+e+Lazer... )

@sweepi: Thanks a lot for your help & all the infos :))
Please keep us up to date with the newest Chartpositions from Portugal (the whole top 30 is just mentioned in that special tv show, right?)

Welcome! :) Yes, as far as I’m aware, that TV programme is indeed the one source divulging the complete top 30 here... (At least, I myself don’t know of nor have found so far anywhere else where to check it... Not on the web, anyway...) And also yes, of course I will keep tracking TBH position on there and updating it here, of course I will!!! :) As long as it keeps on charting... ;)
room-service said on November 27, 2002 14:54:
BTW In Norway it goes up from 16 to 13 for TBH
The other new SalesChart Positions which Gellner mentioned in the “Chart results”-Thread (thanks for that:)) are also included in the TBH SalesChart table:

Cool to see that TBH is charting in Portugal where both HAND & RS seemed to somewhat flop.
Did ’The Ballad Hits’ actually tumble down 7 slots last week in Germany?
BTW, does anybody have a web address for the official Portuguese charts? Thanks!!
sweepi said on November 27, 2002 18:27:
Well yea, it sure is great to see Roxette back on the charts here, as in fact, the last album, RS, it didn’t quite manage to enter our sales top 30... :( However though, on the other hand, I don’t know if it is so right to extend the “flop” comment to HAND... I mean, it may have not performed so greatly on the sales chart as both its predecessors, DBUGTTC! (which reached #1), and later BEE (which peaked highest at #6), which it didn’t (also it wasn’t a compilation album which makes all the difference for the matter), but then again, it also can’t plainly be said to have been a flop, IMHO I don’t consider so... Indeed, and besides the enormous success and airplay both WICF and “Anyone” got by the time, and they did get *enormous* success and airplay here, alongside the fact that all the singles from this album (except for “Salvation”) did get released here, which for instance didn’t happen with the RS singles, HAND itself did chart here, it most definitely did, peaking highest at #11 and staying on the sales top 30 for over 3 months! :) So again, I don’t know, also again IMHO, whether this is to be called a “flop”?...
room-service said on November 27, 2002 21:15:
@animalkingdom: Yes, last week TBH lost 7 positions in the official german charts, but in the newest charts it goes 4 positions up again (#13).
Have a look at the site, which I posted in the second reply in this thread ;)
sweepi said on November 28, 2002 00:05:
@ room-service: plz don’t forget to point out that the chart for Portugal refers to the top 30 only, as perhaps that one is an important detail? After all, just who knows if in the 1st week TBH wasn’t at #31... ;P
room-service said on November 29, 2002 18:26:
@sweepi: Yes, I will add that detail very soon. Your mentioned fact was the reason why I add it at all the other charts, which wheren’t the Top100 ;)
zeeshan said on November 29, 2002 22:23:
Hey guys!
Why wud TBH reach #1?? It is a compilation album afterall. I don’t know anything about DBUGTTC sales figure (if it reached the #1 spot or not). I don’t think it is gona reach #1 since all the people have most of the songs. It has to be something GROUND-BRAKING with good promotion thruout the world to reach that kinda position. I guess for a compilation album TBH is doing very good! Just a thought though! :)
