I'm afraid they are telling good-bye

reading the note that Per and Marie wrote in the last page of the blocket in the ballad hits... well it seems it’s a good-bye. They wrote:”thank you to everyone who have been involved in our splendid career” and then “a very special thank you to Clarence Ofwerman who has been our guiding light in the studio since day 1”
they’re speaking like there won’t be any future for Roxette.
After the up-tempo GH I think they will stop working together... Another sign is that marie did not co-operate in the 2 new song. She does not appear as producer together with per and clarence in “A thing about you” and both lyrics and music are by Per. And then why shouls they realise a Greatest hits after only 2 album?
Please tell me that i’m totally wrong

they were keeping on saying that they are no more singing for money (they are so rich!!!) but only for passion. So I don’t sing they are testing the market. A single would be sufficient as a test.

I don’t think they’re telling goodbye, because Per said that they want to tour at The Nokia Night Of The Proms next year when Marie is completly healthy. Per is a workaholic, it makes him fun to write songs and Marie’s dream of life is to be a singer. She said she needs the audience and the fans. I believe they will work a bit slower in the future but they will not retire.

IMHO the “Ballad Hits” album is designed to be as timeless as possible, that might be a reason for the things you´ve mentioned.

1. Per once said that he dont likes his voice very much, he prefer Marie’s one singing, that was the meaning of Roxette, Per’s song and Marie’s voice.
So I think they will go on together.
2. Per said that making songs to GT is not what he want, after 4 songs it all sounds the same. So maybe a solo career and/or Roxette. (and Per prefers Marie’s voice .....)
3. Per has plans for the US market, and they want to make a sort of come back there, so maybe this two hits cds are the way to make a come back and then they will release new material.
4. Joining together the songs from this Ballads Hits and the ones from the forthcoming album we can make a complete new album, the reason of spliting them into 2 cds is because of US market.
5. THEY SHOULD WORK TOGETHER !!!!

Per has always said that until they enjoy working together they won’t split up. And I don’t really think it’s a time when they no longer enjoy working together... So I’m sure they’ll continue. They are both musicians... what else could they do?

Nah. We all thought that after Crash! and they’re still around. They can’t live without each other. Besides, Per’s lovin’ Roxette too much to give it up at the moment. We all know he gets obsessed with things easily.

Everyone who knows about Per and Marie for some years (and most of the fans do that), will agree, that they won´t split up. I think even if they won´t tour anymore, they´ll release studio albums.
