I've just got the cd...

Hi to all, I’ve just got the cd and want to tell what are my first impressions.
The cd’s (both of them) works in cd-rom, dvd-rom players and writers. An internal player will pop up automatically (autoplay), everything fine? I don’t think so... Music quality is low to my opinion, very poor. It’s like if your listening to an internet streaming, you can hear like metallic echoes...
Does anybody have the cd and can tell me other opinions? I want to verify if it is something wrong with my PC or Cd... (don’t think so...).

Here in Italy the release date was anticipated to the 31st because tomorrow is holiday (and EMI usually release new cd’s on Friday...).

How many pictures are in the booklet? Can you describe the booklet?
dariophoto said on October 31, 2002 17:06:
Beautiful pictures in my opinion, very (I’m a photographer, I also met and photographed them 3 times...). Two B/W portrais of Marie and Per and at the end a B/W portrait of both of them. Plus 3 screenshots of the videos in every page. And a new heart almost covered with milk. The booklet is nice, I like this new stile, even better than “Room Service” (i liked it...) and of course then “Have a nice day” (i didn’t liked it...). I found similarities to the first B/W pictures of “Look sharp”. But I want to know if anybody has a copy of it, promo or commercial...

I’ve got that CD too.. (I bought it on this morning!) and I noticed the same sound quality probs.. for example See me sounded very poor, don’t know why.. (btw, it’s the same version as in Salvation single :(
But the layout is very nice! I love the pictures!!!!!!!!
And in Breathe (what a great song!) lyrics the ink is a bit messy.. did anyone noticed that??
i_jera said on November 1, 2002 18:18:
damn. I don’t have it (yet), but what you are saying about the quality of th sound isn’t good at all.

Hey you all,
Did you notice that there’s a misprint on the EP-cd?
Both Weight of the World and It Hurts are listed as number 1, while See me is 3 and Every Day is 4 (At least this is the case on mine).
Maybe this will be a collectors item ;p

I FINALLY got te CD, I got up this morning and rushed to the shop ( yesterday it was a national holiday so everything was closed). Generally, I miss Per’s voice n the “new” songs, but otherwise i am satisfied. And yeah, the misprint is funny. My Breate text is alright though, not fuzzy or anything :)

Yeah..playing in PC quality is low, also if you try to encode to mp3...:(
animalkingdom said on November 2, 2002 19:47:
The sound quality is definitely NOT bad!!!
I played it with my computer and a new type of CD player popped up. This is probably the secure thingie they used...Anyway, with this player the sound quality was very low indeed.
BUT: I am now playing the CD with computer’s own player and I couldn’t be happier. Great quality and everything! And with the regular CD player I had no problemas at all!
PS. I also have a little stainy Breathe lyrics and It Hurts & The Weight Of The World both listed as no. 1 tracks but, hey, I couldn’t care less!

Hehe, I didn’t even notice that little “mistake” with number 1’s until now =) Made me laugh, kinda funny but I agree, couldn’t care less!!!
I love the EP btw, all these songs are so awesome!! It just would have been better if they had put all the songs in one cd, so you wouldn’t have to change the disc all the time between the album and the EP (at the moment I’m listening this with my Walkman). God I’m thankful that my real cd-player has a 3-cd changer! ;D

One more small minus: Vulnerable does not quite last as long as the back of the album says (5.03.) It’s the single edit (4.25) with a couple of extra seconds... ;)

Perhaps EMI needs to send the album to select fans to have them “approved” before sending them to the presses. While these mistakes may be a bit funny and not that big of deal to us fans, it makes the record company look sloppy and careless. Then again, that’s what we know them for anyways! Go figure!
In any case, let’s hope that they will fix these errors before it hits the US market.

Jas: Somewhere in the world, I have a copy of the liner notes from the “Joyride” cassette, and it has the song “Small Tlak” on there.
No, this is not my typo... this was actually printed *lol*
kachina008 said on November 4, 2002 21:37:
just got it...
1) I played it on my laptop, and the sound comes out very “metallic” and scratchy. does anyone else have that problem?
2) did you notice at the last page it says ” roxette recommends if you want to know what’s going on” and one of the sites is dailyroxette.com!!! ;)
