And speaking of "Instant Hits"...

I always wondered whether this album, the CD of it, was an official release?... Well, I’m only asking coz I have this couple of GT postcards here, by EMI, each having their album discography on the back, and as neither of them actually mentions “Instant Hits”, so that’s why I got curious... (Well, this plus the fact that, and even though it is a compilation, this album seems nowhere to be found available in regular stores, that is actually yet another reason which has me wondering...)

Thanks Ferdan. :) “Halmstads Pärlor” has actually been part of this fan’s collection for some good 4 years now. ;) And so will “Konstpaus” soon too, so I hope. :P It is really “Instant Hits” particularly that has been keeping me curious... So, has it been deleted, is that why? Is that the reason it isn’t found available in regular shops, yes?

it is offcicial, it is rare becase it is so hard to find these days, but you are right all Per’s Grage songs are included on Konstpaus. :)

With the release of this compilation he should’ve realise that Greatest hits albums named “________ Hits” sound soooo boooooring...
Much more boring than 4 Gyllene Tider songs in a row... FOR SURE! :DD
“ROCK SET! ROCK SET! ROCK SET!...” Per, Marie... fans are claiming at you to call the pop-rock compilation like this in every concert!!!! :D

Although the Pers Garage songs are available on the Konstpaus album, they are not exactly similar to the versions on the Instant Hits album. If you care about that you need both, if you don’t then Konstpaus is fine.

Thank you tevensso. :) But then my curiosity remains, why is it that this album, being a compilation, seems such a hard to find, not being available in regular stores presently? Is it because it has in fact been deleted or?
tevensso (moderator) said on October 28, 2002 11:33:
Yes, this CD (and LP) was out in 1989, and back then CD wasn’t that big in Sweden so I guess not too many CD copies were sold, at least that’s what Per says. It lived for a few years. Also it was over 80 minutes long so it had problems being played on some players. Then EMI released Halmstads Pärlor in ’95 to compensate for the missing tracks, they said.

Hm so I see... So I think I can take it from your words that it too, “Instant Hits”, was an EMI release, yes? As that, the fact the album doesn’t come mentioned in those postcards, really is still the biggest mystery for me... Coz after all, also “Pearls Of Passion” was long deleted by DBUGTTC! days (wasn’t it?!), and still it was included on Roxette’s album discography, in cards alike, by the time... Or is it perhaps that, as “Samlade Tider”, “Instant Hits” was actually not a release by EMI but another label, could that be the reason?...

Yes it’s official.....
but you’ll make better business buying Konstpaus and/or Halmstad Parlor
