Yes, Roxette have toured there...At least during the Crash!Boom!Bang! World Tour in 1995:
- Sun Plaza, Tokyo (2)
- Sun Plaza, Sendai
- Koseinki Hall, Tokyo
- Festival Hall, Osaka
- Sun Palace, Fukuoka
- Konagagwa Kenmin Hall, Yokohama
(Indeed, the land of the rising Sun...)
I also remember Per saying that HAND sold approx 90 000 copies in Japan.

LOL! Man, I thought you were referring to the great song by Alphaville, “Big in Japan”.
I only know a little bit about Rox in Japan. A few of their songs off the last 2 albums have charted lightly there and they released a double-A side single with Pay The Price and hmmm, I can’t remember the other one.

My Japanese techer said that Swedish music is popular in Japan. She didn’t say any names but I think she meant ABBA and Roxette. I also have some e-mail Japanese friends and while one of them said they’re no longer big theother said something opposite. So I don’t know what to think.
I’ve read somewhere here that Room Service had some special edition - it included longer version of ENTERING YOUR HEART (which obviously sounds Japanese-oriented). maybe you’ve also heard Teaser-Japnese (from first Roxette album, when there was no marie). and I think the booklets are different - the titles are written in katakana - you can check it on www.toshiba-emi.co.jp (i think that’s the correct adresse).
are you interested in japan?
i’ll send you an e-mail, if you don’t mind, ok?
bye!
