i would like to know from you, which people do buy maxi-cds (singles) in times like these? my last single was MATAH from roxette but i never buy singles from other artist, i rather buy the album but nearly all songs i like, i am loading down from kazaa (i’ve got about 1.700 traks already). the price here in austria for a maxi-cd is about 8 € and i think it is pretty much for one or two songs plus video don’t you think?!
so here the question arises: DO SALES CHARTS SHOW US THE TRUTH? i don’t think so. do you?

it depends on the country and sound scan. each country has a different tabulation as to what gold and platinum sales are. soundscan in some countried doesnt account for stores and chains that dont utilize the soundscan system. also certian internet salses do not count either
