Dear EMI,
I’ve read at the BBC news website under article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/2285238.stm that there is to be a new Roxette single “A Thing About You” and new album to follow, called “The Ballad Hits”. I read that the international release date is 4th November?
I’ve been asking about the releases at serveral stores (HMV, Virgin etc) and they have nothing listed for the UK - much to my disappointment.
Could you shed some light on this for me? Will the album (or single) be released here in the UK, or will I have to import it?

I would expect that the info on the bbc website has just been taken from an international news agency like Reuters. In effect, it doesnt mean anything about UK releases. EMI have nothing planned, and the record shops dont have anything listed. I suppose a few of the bigger HMVs might stock the album/single as an import, but i wouldnt expect a wider release. I wouldnt be surprised if we never get another UK release for Roxette, at least for as long as they stay with EMI, and from what I’ve seen/heard, per seems to be quite happy with EMI Sweden, even though it seems most of the offices around the world are bloody hopeless.

I think Thomas realized this... but was trying to indirectly point out to EMI UK that Roxette is still around... and that at least the BBC still remembers who they are.
