Chart update for ATAY!!!
PerFanatic said on October 9, 2002 16:54:
Hej,
It’s time for my first chart update for ATAY! Unlike previous Rox singles, ATAY seemed to hit “all at once”. Prior to the week of September 23rd, I did not see it on any charts, then… bam… it appeared on a bunch of them all of the sudden.
Week of 23-9-02: Charts = 21, Avg position = 27.71, Countries = 11
Week of 30-9-02: Charts = 34, Ave position = 18.24, Countries = 14
Highlights:
#1 on Radio Silkeborg (Denmark) for 1 week, www.radiosilkeborg.dk/rs1997-a.htm
#1 on Radio Match (Sweden) for 1 week, www.radiomatch.se/matchtopp20/boras.asp
on 9 different charts in Germany so far
That’s it for now, but much more to come. ATAY appears to be one of the fastest chart climbers in recent Rox history. If you know of any ATAY chart appearances, please e-mail the URL’s, and I’ll make sure to add them to my list.
Cheers!

Well, not quite yet, but it should within the next week or so. MATAH maxed out at 47 total charts with the best avg position at 13.45. But that didn’t happen until the MATAH’s 12th week of chart appearances. By comparison, this is only the 3rd week of charting for ATAY. If all fairness though, I am pulling some new charts that I didn’t have access to for MATAK, but ATAY is definately on its way to outperforming MATAH. I’d say it’s headed for TCOTH-like success!

how do u guys come up with this chart info?
what are the sources?
PerFanatic said on October 11, 2002 06:05:
well, I started with a chart search engine found at www.lanet.lv (Charts around the World). This has about 800 charts in it’s database. I’ve also found quite a few that aren’t indexed in this engine from other sources, like postings on TDR, RML, etc. I recently uncovered a ton of new ones which I found on an Ace of Base page. In all, my spreadsheet contains about 200 diff charts that rox singles have charted on in the past 4 years.

PerFanatic, do you still run your own website?
And are all the charts where you compile the info from equal? Or do you give, for instance, more points for some big German radio stations than some small one in, say, Sweden?

ATAY is 13 on TOP 20- MM TV- Bulgaria— the biggest music TV in Bulgaria– but the show ends before 10 min and i still don’t have url...

I collected all the positions of ATAY on German Radio Charts (including the official Airplay Charts) and put them together in a small table.
Here you can look it up:

I voted for roxette on a few charts. Perhaps we should start requesting for atay on other charts. We should be more active on requesting roxette on different charts.

Hey thanks PerFanatic - nice work......
just an OT question - what is RML??
PerFanatic said on October 14, 2002 22:57:
@ animalkingdom – no, I found that I just don’t have the time to mess logging on and uploading the data. Especially now that I only have a freaking 56k connection at home. I’ve tried to contact the guys that run this site to see if they’d want to post it here, but I haven’t heard back from them as of yet.
No, I don’t give the big stations or most important charts any special weight. I think that would make things a bit too complicated, especially because I don’t know which are big and which are small. Sorry…
@ room-service – thanks for that, but I can’t seem to get that URL to work!
@ SirMikeAlot – RML is the “Roxette Mailing List”. You should subscribe… it’s a nice compliment to this site.
@ Royalball – yes, I agree my brutha! On my chart spreadsheet, I’ve got a column that shows whether or not you can vote on each chart. So, you just follow the URL’s and vote away.
