why is ROXBYTES closed?

so, why is it closed?

Well, most of you have heard of the hosting problems Dan, the owner of Roxette.org is facing now. RoxBytes has generated an enormous 23 GB traffic every day on roxette.org, which, obviously cannot be continued if the hosting is done on a commercial basis. RoxBytes, till yesterday, accounted almost 90% of the TOTAL traffic on roxette.org. It’s clear that RoxBytes was a popular website, this is why it was a hard decision to shut it down. I’m not saying this is the end, but the current hosting problems are things we need to face. The FTP servers are still open, however, obviously they cannot replace the webserver. We are working on a solution to offer you those rare downloads we used to have. But for now, RoxBytes is closed. Hopefully it will be re-opened very soon. Any help and ideas are welcome.
Thanks for those some 135 000 visits RoxBytes had so far.

There is a detailed description on how to download from the ftp servers.
There is one thing we would like to ask anyone downloading from the FTP servers: DO NOT DOWNLOAD MULTIPLE FILES / DO NOT DOWNLOAD A FILE ON MULTIPLE THREADS AT THE SAME TIME. Downloading might take a little longer, however, this way, more people can be logged in at the same time. Thanks for keeping this simple rule.

It is sad to see the site closed.. but I guess we will manage, as we managed to record ATAY, the video etc.. when somebody gets something, I guess easiest is to post something here like I will be in WinMX with this nick at this time.. it is a pain.. but well.. at least something??

Dan asked to shut it down, coz he now has to pay too much for roxette.org hosting services :(
