Jeanettes Rock my Life=The Look?

Well, after reading all those comments here like sooo many times, I was really curious to actually hear this song myself sometime. It so happened, that I saw and listened to this song on MTV just like one or two days ago... a similarity to the look? Are you guys mad? I think there would be a greater similarity to the centre of the heart... gosh, guys, all that is similar with Rock my life and the Roxette style is the what ya call it, the synthics... well, the sound a little bit, you know what I mean... but seriously, I tried to sing she’s got the look along to the chorus of Rock my world... it just didn’t work! The song sounds nothing like it, okay, it could sound like one of Roxette newer dance orientated songs.... but that’s it. I mean, just because Roxette have got Guitars in their songs, we don’t say that Bon Jovi covers Roxette’s songs... geeez...
Besides all of that, the girl that sings Rock my world has got such a thick german accent singing this song... she should consider singing it in German, but I guess it would not be such a big hit then...
I think the song is not too bad though...

I don’t think that it sounds like the look - the “melody” of the “nananana...” is totally (not really totally, but nearly ;)) different.
Just because of “nanananas” it’s not the look ;)

I don’t think so. The only similarity are the nanananas. The Sound isn’t “exactly” the same.

When I first heared the intro of that song (didn´t know what or who it is) I thought “this could be Roxette”. And then the nanana-part. It´s almost the one in The Look you can sing “she´s got the look” instead of “rock my life”...at least it is quite similar...

I have to agree with you Stefan. Jeannete’s new song is so similar to The Look the attitude the groove the na na na na thing...i believe she was a bit influenced by it and decided to do an uptempo track that remided the Roxette hit....whether she wanted to do almost a copy of it it’s uncertain but i can sing SHE’s GOT THE LOOK on the chorus...LOL
I think Jeanette’s a nice girl but her music is too lollipop ...far away to be as good as Roxette but this one was qute funny due to this Roxettish-the look-similarity....i had a laugh with it

I don’t agree with you. I think the song is good, but I wouldn’t say it ressembles The Look. Thought the “similarity” is higher that the one between “Sleeping in my car” and “Jenny and I”.
So maybe Per should sue this girl :DDDDD

I was just watching some german tv channel and they commented this about the song being similar to The Look, they played some OOOOLD images of P&M from the look times - live.. ;)

Hmmmm...the song has a very Gessleish refrain and a nananananana...but the rest?? Doesn’t remind me of THE LOOK at all...But the song is nice...(if you forget about her weak voice)

I also think that it’s similar with The Look. I heard the song a few weeks ago on radio, I knew that it was Jeanette, but I thought: The background sounds is like The Look. This note don’t give the nanana’s, it’s the backgroud sound.
It’s the first song which is in my opinion comparable with a Roxette-Song.
It would be a question for her in an interview: Do you know that your song is like Roxette’s The Look? Was it your inspiration?
But nevertheless it’s ok. It’s a nice song of her. I don’t mind further....

Pretty good song though ....but I can hear the similarities...... put it this way....theres more similarities with this song and The Look than there ever was with SIMC and Jenny And I ! ;)

There was an articel in Hallandsposten today ( 22th)and a journalist writes that Per should take Jeanette to the court because of stealing The Look.
