Fellow Musicians :)

I was just wondering - how many of us Roxers are musicians, what do you all play, and was the reason you became a musician (by any chance) something to do with Roxette? ;)
Answering my own question, I play guitar - and yes, the reason I started is because of Per! I love Roxette so much, they made me the muso I am today. :)
Another thing - my guitar is the exact same (colours, brand) as the one Per uses in the Listen To Your Heart video! I’m looking into going for a guitar like the one in Fading Like A Flower next. *wink*
How about you? :D

Well, I do not play any instruments but I write music and lyrics and I’m planning to be a singer. ( God, here my words, pls!)
My first record( song) is already done!
And yes, Roxette are the one to make me write!
So wait for my first single later some time.

I play guitar, harmonica and tin whistle :DDD
I became interested in music after listening to June Afternoon by Roxette (this song made me interested in them also), though when I was a little child I used to play with the CASIO and it didn’t sound that bad :D
My electric guitar looks like a Stratocaster, but it’s not made by Fender... you know, it’ a copy. In black-white colour. I hate it kind a lot, though it has a name :D
My dream guitar is golden Rickenbacker (the guitars that Per uses in Joyride album) hung in the music shop for the last 5 years... I guess nobody can afford the 2200 € it costs... I discovered later it’s an updated version of a guitar that John Lennon used to play, similar to the one Per appears with in The Lonely Boys booklet.
Ah, and I play Tin Whistle because I also like The Corrs... and I can’t with fiddle!! :D

Hey! Mr. Tambourine Man, play a song for me. ;-)
I used to play the accordion and the guitar. But nowadays I lack the time to practice.

So many replies. How cool. :)
I’m trying to get a band up and running at the moment. When I do, I might help my country remember Roxette more by playing some covers. ;)

I play guitar & sing. I got my first guitar when i was 9 yrs old ; a 3/4 classical guitar, didn’t play it much, but when i turned 15, i started to learn chords and songs *all roxette songs*, i started writing my own material also and continue to write lyrics & music. When i was 16 i bought an electric guitar ; black samick and started playing and practising heaps. I started learning other songs by other artists and continued to play my own material. It wasn’t until this year i bought my third guitar; a black Gibson Epiphone *my baby* and really got into Music. I’m a part-time musician in a band, we play covers and our own material - mostly playing for friends at parties etc . i’ve done a couple of solo gigs.
I guess for me Roxette’s music inspired me to start playing. I’d love to learn to play bass & drums also
*1st grrl*

Bass guitar (4-string). I play because I discovered that this particular gift and desire was passed along to me from my grandfather, who used to be a drummer in his younger years. He played in a band, nothing big, just the neighbourhood boys.

teehee! i got a tambourine! thats where my skills end though... the only kinda music i can play on the guitar is a whole lot of noise...
rox did influence me though... Marie’s tambourine in the Church Of Your Heart video is the same as mine, exept mine’s blue. thats the reason i got it! ;)
*get your green, green tambourine, lets play in the park - wah wah! here comes the sun*
