hmmm... what do I think?
4 words: Wish I Could Fly
(Translation: Like it, whistle it occassionally, off-key of course ;o) )

all of the above, absolutely love WICF (this song got me back into roxette after a bit of a break, so it has a very special place in my heart)

I didn’t know it was Roxette the first time I listened to it on the radio... and I thought it was a bit boring. But then I learnt to like it.
Now I like it though I find it a bit long. Its Spanish version is the only Spanish version I like “more or less” :D

I first heard that song on the radio. The DJ said:” This song makes me wanna fly!”.
Same for me though!
One of the greatests songs ever!!!

One of the greatest tragedies of the 20th Century was that this song was not #1 all over the world and did not win the song of the year at the Grammy’s.
The song has CLASS - CREDIBILITY (something Roxette DO NOT have now... don’t argue accept it) - MATURITY - BRILLIANCE - REFRESHING CHANGE!
This song is PERFECT. There is nothing I would change... each time I think about the “WHAT IF’s” with regards to the US, it burns me inside. This sooooo could’ve been the NEXT BIG THING in the US charts... but business and musical politics got in the way of artistic brilliance.....
TRAGEDY :-(

ABFFP, the string arrangement is wonderful. I’ve always dreamed of an orchestral version. I also really like to hear the song performed acoustically.
Roxwriter, that’s exactly what I think about the song. Every time I listen to it now I keep thinking what a big record it should have been (at least in the U.S.). Then I think of the current music industry conditions and cringe. :/ On a positive note, I became a huge Roxette fan because of this song - something that may not have happened if I hadn’t heard it on a U.S. radio station.

the song is quite good... but I like it a way more performed live - the way Cristoffer (or however it is to be spelled) plays the bass on that song is really great.

“Wish I Could Fly” is a song that may just be my favorite Roxette song ever. (My mind changes quite often). Everything about the song, in my opinion, is perfect. The arrangement, production, vocals, and lyrics are beautiful! It’s one of those songs I can listen to over and over again and really feel the emotion and intensity.
And I agree with you...I think it’s one of the best songs ever by any act.
