12.see me

My reaction..well I heard the album thru the telephone ..A friend of mine...eeehrm...had a promo-Album a week before the album was released and she called me....and the rest was jumping around like a fool I think.
I loved “STARS” and “Crush on you” from the first second!!!!!!!
zeeshan said on September 27, 2002 19:46:
I had a crush on “Crush on You” then when I heared songs like waiting for the rain, anyone (sorry I don’t like the song) and some other songs I thought that in previous Roxette albums I used to love EACH and EVERY single song. I guess that’s about it.

My reaction?
So happy, I liked all songs (exept WFTR), that album is just exellent

I kind of liked it at first, but after the third or fourth listening I started to get tired of certain songs. It sounded different, maybe that’s my problem with HAND.

to be honest... i was kinda... well.... i didnt like it too much, i thought the intros were way huge and it was so different! but after a few weeks i really wanted to listen to WICF again (love that song!) so i listened to it.... and ever since then i’ve loved it loads!!! really great album!

I placed it on the CD player, and it was already night. I love to listen to the music when I’m in the bed.
So I placed it and to feel just what music is, I turned out the lights, pressed play and... Wow! “Crush on you” sounded so wonderful. I missed a bit the guitars but anyway it was good enough.
The next I wish I could fly I knew it... could sing along the chorus :P Great.
You can’t... (and all the rest... when I saw the title I thought it was the complete lyrics :D) was very nice too and sounded like Roxette to me...
But after this I fell asleep... this happens when you’re in bed and it’s not very interesting...

at first i thought it sounded a bit tacky (especially COY - i cringed at that), loved WICF, UCPYAAWAG, 7TWENTY7 and STARS. though after a few rotations i really loved it (especially COY!!). Still don’t like a few tracks though...

My story is quite funny. I listened to 15 sec clips at the shop and remembered there was 1 song with quite a nice melody, so I bought the cd and when I got home and listened to the songs every song I listened I thought yes this was the song with the nice melody, then the second song came and I thought, o no this is that song with the nice melody and so with the 3rd ect. ect. ect. Ending up likeing all the songs execept PTP

i can’t remeber the details but it appealed to me. it was modern but roxette. i heard it on the radio one week before the release and COY was the only one i managed to record - fell in love with that one and that’s how it last till now. but i love the whole album. is the best along with CBB. i head some period when i thought of it - it so strange, it has no style each song is totally different. but i don’t think so anymore. it has a spring style/mood. i cannot express it another way. and i love it though winter is my favourite season. maybe it was RS that helped me to notice that it was a good album - i mean RS is wonderful. but plain. each song is great but but all gathered on one cd, especially ballads - too similar. songs of one album should have similar style, but those are too similar. u know what i mean. but it is hand i should tlak about. yes i liked it from the beginnning and despite a short crisis i’ve never stopped. it’s a masterpiece.
thank you!!!:))

oddly i was with alot of people who hated anyone..now the song for me is magic...i love the whole album, singles b-sides ..for me it was what joyride as an album aspired to be
and it sold nearly 4 million copes so THERE
open600 said on September 28, 2002 17:52:
It was not love at first sight, but now I like it! BETTER than RS
Markuz said on September 29, 2002 01:39:
No, HAND did NOT sell 4 million copies. It has been discussed like a ZILLION times before but coyboy keeps insisting on that.
HAND sold only 2 million copies:

Oh, and in the same article, Per admits that the album was a disappointment musically.
BTW, when I first heard HAND I thought: “They’ve lost it, they’re SO over”.

Definitely a comeback for them. One of their best albums.
As far as HAND vs. RS:
HAND sold more than RS. HAND got more favorable reviews from music critics than RS. HAND made Roxette the best selling scandinavian artist in the world in 1999.
Vixzter said on September 29, 2002 08:17:
and RS hasn’t been around as long as HAND !! ;) just thought I’d point that out.
zeeshan said on September 29, 2002 08:40:
@Vixzter: are you suggesting that they are still selling RS albums???

vaxjoe said on September 29, 2002 10:48:
HAND sold 2.2 million copies and it was CRASH!BOOM! BANG! that sold 4million copies dear coyboy according to TDRs article!
SO THERE! stop insisting!
Stormkeeper said on September 29, 2002 11:51:
Loved it!!
Still my all-time BEST CD!
What is a mystery to me is why they released Salvation as a single... not very strong one if you ask me. Crush On You has much more potential to become a radio hit.
So does Cooper!
zeeshan said on September 29, 2002 16:56:
CRUSH ON YOU = YES!!!!!!!!!!!
COOPER = HUH!? DUH!! NO WAY! :)

coyboyusa said on September 29, 2002 20:52:
hands sold 3.5 million copies it sold a million in pre order those are the facts
coyboyusa said on September 29, 2002 20:54:
the atricle is off it even claims the released hand on edel in america which they didnt
vaxjoe said on September 30, 2002 12:04:
@coyboy:from TDRs article:
“Spanish compilation of Roxette’s ballads, released in 1996, was a disappointment. So was their 1999 album “Have A Nice Day”. Roxette had found themselves a new American record company, a little label called Edel. But the album sold only 2.2 million copies. Per thinks the album was a disappointment, also musically”
those r the facts , swallow it at last!

First time I heard it, I loved it to bits! It was sooo Fresh and such a new style somehow!
But I got sooo bored of the CD sooo soon! After like a week or two, I put on other CD’s already, that was the fastest for any Roxette New Albums to be replaced again with the usual stuff...
vaxjoe said on September 27, 2002 17:43:
to tell u the truth i loved the 1st track (crush on u) and i was excited...but as i continued with the other songs i was like “omg what is this thing? is it roxette”? i actually started to like HAND after RS was released....
