EMI Canada definitley gonna promote Ballad Hits

Definitely encouraging, I’ve never seen Roxette make EMI’s “headlines” section, not even with the news of Marie’s condition. They should have been a little more careful when copying the press release because they contradict themselves by saying that there will be *six* previously unreleased songs... oh, EMI... (: Thanks for mentioning this, I hadn’t refreshed my browser in ages so I wasn’t getting it when I went to their page! Hope to hear “ATAY” on the radio here in Canada (but won’t hold my breath!).

well definitley more positive than anything the UK has put out yet!

good luck!

Yeah, what’s up with the EMI UK website, anyway??! It’s been ’under construction’ since “Have a Nice Day” came out!! I guess they’ve spent all of their money on Kylie Minogue... (:

yeah - they’ve spent all their budget on a few people who were gonna sell anyway, and ignoring all of the other artists...but THAT article in the Guardian still puzzles me!

I was surprised by it too... I was thinking that maybe they were thinking more globally - “Room Service” sold a million copies around the world which, despite what a lot of people here think, is actually very good, probably one of EMI’s best performances globally for the year 2001 (obviously Kylie took the crown that year!)... even though they couldn’t sell “RS” in Canada or the UK, it probably is in the best interest of the company as a whole to keep Roxette on its roster (even if they underperform in some markets, due of course to lack of promotion and fickle radio tastes). But it was surprising to see anyway!

Well I’m glad that EMI Canada is going to at least do something for the new album. When “Have a nice day” came out there were about twenty copies put on the new release section. When “Room service” came out they didn’t put it under the new release... section or even put it on sale (it was $23.99).

What’s this about a DVD release for “Love Peas” and “Don’t Bore Us...”? Is it EMI Canada jumping the gun and getting my hopes up, or are they mistaken?

I’m sure they’re just mistaken... that “Don’t Bore Us” DVD has been on their site forever, but when you click it, you just get the VHS version (released in 1996).
