Thanx. So it seems that we have to wait another couple of days before we know how bad it really is.

“Marie is in a positive mood” says Dimberg....
It’s gonna be alright,if Marie is in a positive mood, then we have to do the same, just keep positive thinking.......

Maybe it would be better if Aftonbladet WON’T publish that much details....... THEY SCARE ME AGAIN...I have my difficulties to think positive about Marie’s situation after reading such articles.....:’(
Jud (moderator) said on September 22, 2002 08:59:
well.. let´s hope that for once (again) aftonbladet is just exagerating!!
Of course a tumour (good or bad) is sth to be worried about, but we should just think positive for Marie :)

I’m busy trying to keep my mind busy with other things, but it’s soo hard... I hate waiting. It’s almost driving me crazy
Today, I went to church to light a candle and pray for all people who are fighting against illnesses and especially for Marie, even though I’m not religious at all
freshold said on September 22, 2002 14:06:
yeah, waiting is awful....then, during the chemio or radiotherapy, you have to wait even longer for the results of the treatment...while you wait, all other things seem so small and unimportant...i’ve been dealing with it for some time and all you can do is to be patient and optimistic :))
Sanna said on September 22, 2002 15:35:
Oh Marie.. I’ll light a candle for you tonight.
Really, I’m afraid to hear what kind of those forthcoming results will be, though I try to hope the best..
Marsje said on September 29, 2002 10:17:

I made a translation. (Excuse my bad English).
Aftonbladet 21.09.2002
Marie is dizzy, and in pain.
She can be operated on already next week.
Marie Fredriksson is nursed in her home, waiting for the result about the tumor in her head.
A difficult operation can come to the fore, next week.
- But nothing´s definite yet, says Marie Dimberg, the Roxette-stars manager.
Marie´s still suffering from a concussion, caused by falling, last week after a jog.
The singer is feeling sick, dizzy and has a headache. She’s nursed in her home in Djursholm, with her family by her side.
It’s still uncertain, what kind of treatment she’ll receive for the tumor (the doctors found in the back of her head)
The alternatives are, operation, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy.
Another x-ray
During this last week, numerous tests has been carried out. And another computer tomography and brain x-ray has been done.
- Marie´s in a positive mood, and we´re waiting for the results, that will arrive next week. We’re still not sure about what kind of tumor it is, says Marie Dimberg.
If the tumor turns out to be bad, a ”gliom”, then there’ll be a great hurry. The quicker an operation, the bigger chance for a good result.
Therefore, it might be an operation already in the beginning of next week.
The Karolinska hospital are highly prepared. And Marie Fredriksson, if getting worse, can receive treatment at the neuro-clinic anytime within the 24 hours.
Can take an hour.
The operation can take everything from 3 to 24 hours, and are characterised as severe/heavy.
After that, doctors can start radiotherapy, to prevent the tumor from start growing again.
- The doctors have told Marie to rest at home, until further information will arrive. We can only hope for the best, says Marie Dimberg.
