Per mentioned Love Peas to be released World Wide! Is that really true, even in the USA and GBR??

Remember that the world isn’t that wide in Roxette’s (or rather EMI’s) perspective!

world wide for them = all of europe sometimes asia, no usa sometimes south america, no russia its annoying lol

Worldwide in Roxette terms mean everywhere, excluding the USA. USA is the only place where EMI doesn’t represent Roxette.

“Worldwide in Roxette terms mean everywhere, excluding the USA.”
You mean North America or just the USA? Is Canada excluded from ’worldwide’ as well???
Down with EMI. All Roxette albums were released in Canada 6 months after they were released in Europe since Joyride. The DVD didn’t make it here at all. I got it from England and wow, the European system DVDs wouldn’t work for the stupid North American system.

@Damineh: “LovePeas” will be out in Canada on the 5th, right on time. “Tourism” was released a day before the rest of the world in Canada (!) and “C!B!B,” and “DBU-GTTC!” were released on time. The DVD will work in a DVD-ROM, but not on our system because it’s a PAL disc.

Yup, LovePeas will be released in Canada as well, but you never Know, emi is good in changing their plans at the latest moment......

p.s. Roxette does also release in Russia, but you almost can’t get ’official’ CD’s over there.... Why should they otherwise went to russia in their room-service tour?????

Per says a lot of things... he also said there would be a Rox Box with a lot of unreleased stuff, demos and so on... like 5 years ago or more... Did anybody see anything on stores??
DaminehGessle said on September 20, 2002 22:51:
No i didn’t see it :) and yes he said something like that.
Releasing HAND took them so long in here. EMI Canada is just soooooo bad. And no CBB was not released in Vancouver on time. Noone even knows Roxette in here. You gotta sing them joyride in order for them to know whom I’m talking about. Thanks God I wasn’t raised here.

Not sure if it is released here in UK, and if it is it will flop. My suspicion is that EMI UK wont release the single. They may release the album, but there wont be any promo and without any single to promote the album it will flop. This is exactly what happened to Room Service, which was limited to only a few copies in even the biggest record shops and in some they didnt even display the album with the new releases. I e-mailed EMI UK a couple of wks ago about the new single/album and got no reply...this in itself is a bad omen...in the past they have e-mailed me back within a few days when release dates were already set. Lets face it, Roxette are finished in the UK, unless something extraordinary happens that I dont know about!

Oh ya! No singles have been released in here since Joyride. Not only they don’t display the album with the new releases, they have no albums available from Roxette in the Roxette section for you to buy. HMV displays only one CBB CD which hides behind Roxy Music. Virgin has more than 1 but then again, they’re hidden behind other artists. It’s sad. Very sad!

Damineh: “Fading,” “Spending,” “How Do You Do!,” “Almost Unreal,” and “Sleeping In My Car” were all released as singles commercially in Canada (even in Vancouver (: )... “SIMC” was a number 1 single on the sales charts! We could have it a lot worse... the only album release we haven’t gotten that Europe got was the re-release of “Pearls of Passion”... we’re a lot more fortunate than the States!

Hehe hell no dude... You’ve forgotten all about HAND and RS?? I do have the Joyride Singles... I didn’t have Spending my Time which I got for free 2 years ago at a Used CD store. I went to pay for it and the guy said:”You can have it. It’s been there for years.” And no, SIMC wasn’t released in here. WICF did have a CD as a single but you know how you could get it?? FREE when buying a HAND CD. I’d got the HAND way before then cause the CD was released in here more than 6 months later than Europe, so I went to HMV told the guy that I already had the CD and he gave me the single for FREE. Cause noone had even come close to buying it. That’s how it works in here.

I miss seeing singles here in New Zealand. It’s been so long since I saw one. I think the latest one I remember on the shelves here was June Afternoon! Sure, we do get the albums and the DVD, but the fans want singles too! I wouldn’t be surprised if we get LovePeas here and no ATAY single. :(
